A small black and white cat traveled through a forest. Passion was looking for something...someone. /swish/ The cat's head whipped towards the source of the sound. Her red eyes shone with hope. "S...Skye?" She breathed, praying she'd be greeted by her gray and white friend. A single crystiline tear escaped the corner of one of her eyes. /Please...please let it be him./ A smile--a small one at that--crept accross Passion's face as she gazed hopefully towards the bush. Less than a second later, the burning happiness within her simply died. It grew and died almost as quickly as many friendships she had gone through. Rather than a cat padding out from the bush, a dark, shadowy serpent appeared. Passion recognized this entity at once.
"Hello, Depression..." Passion greeted flatly. The demon made no sound, but simply advanced towards the she-cat. Passion made no motion to leave. "I see you've found me again."
For a brief moment, red eyes met red eyes and the two simply stared at each other. Shadows danced all around the serpent. Passion remained still. The unknown creature looked her up and down, then lunged. It shot straight into the feline's chest. Passion's ears drew back, her pupils dialated, and she fell to the ground, a shakey mess. Now more tears ran from her eyes. Crying...crying for what seemed like forever. Her face became drenched in her own tears. She felt alone. She felt a void. Nothing was going to replace that void. She wanted Skye. Passion hissed and screamed. The only sounds for miles around was her own voice. The she-cat wanted the void to fill, but nothing could.
Happiness had left her soul. Depression drove it out with one swift strike.
