Welcome to the Future! by Whoever
Imagine this: Intelligent life exists out there and it isn´t far away. But in every future humanity wipes itself out before it can achieve interstellar travel.
This genius is the only one who knows about this, but she only has a machine that travels through time and barely through space. To save mankind, she most find something that doesn´t exist yet, multiple times too! So she travels to several of the parallel futures that are possible from her point of time to save us in at least one of them

This is the story to an imaginary game I made up during the last few weeks.
The levels are all post-apocalyptic or mid-apocalyptic versions of earth itself (oh, and since it´s only important that mankind never achieved space travel, not that there´s no human alive anymore, there are some dystopian futures thrown in-between too)
You also get to play as alternate future versions of your protagonist who may have undergone character development up to this point and are thus seperate characters.
I think it´d be pretty cool :)
