This is a Captain of my own Sci Fi Universe. As a Captain of the Amelung Airforces, your reactions have to be as fast es possible and the information input is big. The Control over the multiple Huds are done by some Hud like controlling devices. Normally smoke isnt allowed on an airship, so the pipe is only for stylistic devices.
