Back Story Continued: Her father taught her in secret (mainly how to shot a gun). When she was ten, her father's ship sunk at sea and the whole crew drowned. Now, it was just Arral and her mom. Arral was unhappy, she was yearning for a life at sea. Her mom was horrified though (her husband died at sea and she didn't want that to happen to Arral). They argued about the matter for a while throughout the years. Around fourteen, Arral decided she was old enough to try out the sea life. She ran away to the harbor and helped out the sailors there. She sharpened up on her shooting skills and soon no one was able to outshoot her. That's how it was for a while... Arral still wanted to sail on the ocean.
How she meet the captain (a continuation of the back story): One day a pirate ship rolled into the harbor. They didn't come to take/plunder (they came to restock). Even so, the sailors were cautious. They warned Arral to stay away but she was curious (By now its been roughly two to three years). Arral saw the sailors and pirates having a shooting compeition and wanted to join.

Continued: After a while it was just her and the captain (she didn't know it was the captain though). It lasted for a while and Arral had to admit that this woman was good. Finally, the captain won. Arral was shocked this was the first time someone beat her! Arral noticed that the other pirates were calling her 'captain' and were regrouping at their ship and Arral realized this was her big break. She quickly grabbed her stuff, said good bye to the sailors, and ran after them. Near the ship, she finally caught up and asked the captain if she could join the crew. The captain mulled it her and asked her crew for opinions, then finally said yes. She was impressed by Arral's shooting skills and thought she would make a good addition. However, she asked Arral a couple of questions (like how old she was, where she came from, etc.). Arral admitted that she ran away from home for a sailor life. The captain said she could join IF she came back to visit her mom every once in a while (like when they restocked) and before they leave. Arral reluctantly agreed. So, Arral said good bye to her mother (who was glad to see her after a couple of years) and joined the pirate crew and after a while became the master gunner because of her skill (or whatever crew position)... the end. :)

:P Sorry if there's plot holes or spelling errors or the fact that I might have gotten the term "Master Gunner" wrong. :)
