I actually had lots of fun, not winning but battling :D
Did you know it is possible for a level 1OO pokemon to be defeated by a level 1 pokemon in two turns?
(of course it works better if the other person doesn't know what you're doing)
Oh, all my pokemon trainers in all my games are named CHAR by the way.

Overleveling is a good idea in game but not in wifi battles.
I just started ev training in black2, but only a few pokemon, not the ones that battled first.
I think one of the biggest things (in addition to levels, evs, etc) is balance. Have different typed pokemon so one move won't make them all faint.
Have different typed moves so no matter what the pokemon you battle, at least one move will be neutral, possibly super-effective.
