let me explain something okay
you guys all know our wonderful cartoonist #fairytail right? and how she uses the ":y" face a lot? there seems to be a sort of trend on here where people just take things up and spread them like butter without any other information behind them. ":y" has more of a history than fairytale! typed in a more uniform way, the face is actually 8^Y. this originated from the best webcomic in existance, sweet bro and hella jeff. cont. vvv

homestuck.
dave strider is a character in homestuck, and is the writer of sbahj in homestuck. since andrew hussie wrote dave strider, he also wrote sbahj. see where i'm going with this? but sbahj gets referenced throughout homestuck a lot. basically, even though fairytail is a cool cat (yes, that was a pun), the joke is via sbahj.
you all should read sbahj. i'd rate it pg-13. ;)
