But how would you befriend someone on Hatena without asking? Are the popular people here just saying that so they could get you off their back? I bet these questions were thought by many people in general.

The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

^Yeah what they said.
On the Colors community, there are FAR less people here, as you can tell knowing that having two thousand fans or so is considered being on top of the world by Colors standards. So, FAR less people are likely to ask.

I don't know, my experience has been like the right side with both. :I

But you don't have to follow them or any of that stuff, you know.

But isn't that what you do when you befriend someone on here? Or on Hatena?

And if you don't follow them, how can you see and comment on their stuff, like a friend would?

i think it was more compromising for the popular creators on flipnote though. tens of thousands of people could be following someone, as opposed to about 1,000 on here, so you could get people constantly in your chat asking "can i be your friend???" in a really obnoxious way, and that's kinda creepy in a way. it's nice to know people like you, but there are boundaries. a good example of this is epicguitar, i think.

Maybe because they are too pround , people on hatena thinks that be friends w/ someone that don´t animate soo good or just started is going to make they fans/friends thinks that he/she is not that "cool" and they will unfollow him/her.
But here in colors people just care about they art not about that he/she is friend of some1 that is not soo good with art

^As some of that is true, listen to my arguement.
So in real life when making friends, you want to make friends with similar interests as you, like for me I seem to get along with people I meet especially when they like to draw, as do I.
So a reason why popular people don't just befriend ANYONE they meet is because well... you wouldn't do that in real life. Having a friendship with someone online with similar interests or hobbies is what makes the friendship feel all the more real. So yeah, I would feel awkward befriending a stranger and/or fan online that I just met before getting to know them. It shouldn't even be considered a friendship if that is the case.

Lumps has an excellent point. Give him a hand for being smart. Really, you should.
