This is ingenious! Seriously, why are people even complaining about this? Nintendo didn't make the 2DS for people who already own a 3DS. They designed it for children and made it more affordable and accessable to people with less money.

I think the folding shape would be more durable, since it could easily fall on the screens. Also, it looks like a doorstop. But it's still good I guess.

People just like to complain. Even if it was terrible, it still wouldn't affect people who don't buy it so there would still be no need to moan. The 2DS is basically a budget/child friendly 3DS so of course there are some disadvantages to it, but why should that matter to anyone?

People just like complaining about stupid stuff, and they had a cow about it because that was released instead of giving people fs3d.

It might be, in part, because of the eye strain that the 3d feature can cause.
I, personally, can't use 3d at all without getting double vision because of it.
It make titles like pokemon X and Y available to people who don't want to risk it for themselves or their children.
I know that the 3d can be turned off. I do it all the time, but it can't be kept off by parental controls. No matter what any arrogant nitwit may say, eye strain is a legitimate health concern that too many children won't look out for. And parents do have rights and responsibilities to look after and out for their offspring.
