Mother Nature by ShadowFox

My mother is the one who taught and nourished my creativity. I decided to use that creativity, my mother instilled in me, to create my contest entry based on Mother Nature. My image dipicts Mother Nature as a physical being who embodies the elements of nature. As a mother, she will spend all of eternity caring for her children.

Thanks so much for this lovely entry into the weekly challenge! I've gotta say, this one really made it difficult for me to choose. I think you have a great talent and I hope that you continue to enter the challenges!

Thanks for the comments. I spent a lot of time on this, which is why the playback abruptly stops. I also lost 8 hours of work beacuse of the loss in a layer error (happened twice). I'm kind of upset people don't like it as much as I thought the would...Oh well, I learned a lot painting this piece, and currently workng on my next. ^.^

This is REALLY beautiful. My guess is you are of the craft because the feeling you put into this speaks volumes. I am really looking forward to your next one.

grampy, if by "the craft" you mean Pagan or Wiccan...I actually am not. However, I wholeheartedly accept your blessing nonetheless. I have a degree in cultural anthropology and am very open-minded. I truly appreciate your thoughtful comments.

Breathtakingly beautiful. I look forward to seeing more of your art and will like and comment also. Thanks for commenting on my art - I want to keep learning but realize I was not given the gift of a fine artist but I am so happy that I can appreciate the art from those that were. Thanks for your encouragement.

She moulds herself into the Landscapes we walk on, nourishing us lovingly, and carfully.

I did not start clearly labeling my designs until later on, but this was an original concept that I created for one of the contests. Any research I did about mother nature was reading scholarly articles. My painting is my take on mother nature and how I interpreted the information I researched.
