Magnificent! Perhaps the petals represent all the lives the robot has encountered who have subsequently perished over time. As it releases them to the wind, it ponders eternal existence as an immortal machine and maybe it longs to join the cycle of life and death, feeling trapped within it's metal frame and the circuitry of it's CPU core.
