What? This doesn't make any sense, the next product sounds regressive as if they messed up the timeline by putting 3DS before 2DS.

Maybe they tried to make a cheaper version of the 3ds. I don't know. This won't sell much. The reason You got your 3ds was so you could have a small, and portable device that could play games and talk to friends in 3d. Not only is this thing huge compared to the 3ds, and it doesnt even have 3d! They don't even make any seperate games for it.

And the funny thing is, they say this is a new addition to the 3ds family. Yeah. More like the Ds family. Nintendo, you should have spent time and money on a newer and better console than this.

As stupid as it may look ans sound, $I2 isn't a bad price to test this crap out.
The Three-DS costs $l69, and again the Two-DS $l2.. That's actually real cool. Well, price wise.

Its good for kids, but thats it.

Since it is coming out the same day as Pokemon X and Y, my guess is that it's made so people can play 3DS games without buying a 3DS. It's like getting Sam's Choice cola from Walmart instead of Pepsi, it's slightly cheaper. Personally I would never buy one, even if I lost or broke this 3DS, due to it's awekward design and nerfing down of features.

Has anyone even thought for a second that Nintendo is pulling our leg?

How am I the only one that seems to understand this? Okay just a little rant about how I kinda like it and I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
I love kingdom hearts. How does that have anything to do with this? I'll tell you. When I heard that there was going to be a psp exclusive game for the series I was really bummed. I wanted the game so bad but that was the only thing I wanted a PSP for. If the PSP would have done something like this (Eg. Got rid of some aspect and reduced the price I probably would have grabbed that quickly because the normal psp was too pricey for me to have just one game to play on it. I bet there are some people (I know there is at least one person in the world.) That only want the 3DS for Animal Crossing or Pokemon. They don't want to spend $170 on something for one game. This is for those kind of people.
Okay rant over feel free to hate or whatever.

Thinking of switching to Playstation for Two reasons :
One : Minecraft is coming to PSVita, PS-3, and PS-4. Two : Nintendo has lost thier f*cking minds. Turning off 3-D is SOO hard...

^ They wanted to make a cheaper version of it. Why get a 3DS for about $One-Hundred and Seventy dollars and turn 3D off rather than get a 2DS that does the same for Fifty dollars less? Seems kinda stupid to me...

u know kids left there 3d on to long and get ceisers and parents complained so they made it so there kids can have a 3ds but 2dementional so now nintendo has 2ds

A Nintendo tablet sounds like the worst thing ever. It would have very little third party support compared to other tablets, and would lack physical buttons, something that redeems Nintendo's handhelds. Also, Nintendo only typically uses resistive touch screens, which are absolutely fantastic on systems like the Wii U and 3DS to compliment the buttons, but would be VERY useless on a tablet, as it is easily damaged and doesn't support multitouch. That would mean that to play classic games on it, you would have to let go of the d-pad to shoot.
