I really like the Crystal Ponies' design. They're so crystaly! We need more crystal ponies in the Gallery you guys. I would totally buy a Crystal Pony brushable, if it wasn't just a regular brushable with tinsel in its hair. How hard could it possibly be to make them transluscent? You know, crystaly! I spit on you Hasbro, PLEH!

This is awesome! Their manes always look so pretty crystalized. Why don't you make a Mane 6 Crystal pony series? :3

The problem with translucent brushables is you'd be able to see the pegs and knotting inside the head, where the mane is attached (they made some in the early 90s, which were UGLY!). Plus clear vinyle is fairly weak, and tends to warp with time... That's not to say crystal brushable ponies are IMPOSSIBLE, though. They'd just require the manufacture of all new molds, which would make them much more expensive.
There are, however, pony CUSTOMIZERS out there that do quite a nice rendition of the crystal effect from the cartoon by applying holographic foil and such to existing bodies!

Yeah, when you try to re-hair a pony, you learn a LOT about how they're put together. But customizing is SO rewarding! Just make sure to buy a good paint sealer, or it'll all smudge and come off!
