Before I saw this,I thought of the gem being a Arcanine curled up inside the gem,then fire surrounding the gem. lol seems like I mind read,but I can't XD
Besides that,this looks great!The up-close fire looks realistic with the fire...er-dots(?) things,and the fire getting smaller as it curves going up-ward! :)

Also,the outer flames are the ones orange,and the inner flames don't really have orange.I'm just trying to help!
