The episodes made directly after the movie weren't so bad (in my opinion.) I think it was around 2006-7 that Spongebob started getting bad. There have been a couple memorable episodes after that though.

The good writers are mostly gone, it really deserves to be put out of its misery. Its so utterly mediocre now its not even funny, the talent that made it famous, the earlier episodes they did that a thousand memes based off of that appeared about 4 years ago for no ****-in reason....have all but moved on.
For artistic integrity it shoulda been over years ago, buuuut people (kids) still watch it. Sadly.

The new Spongebob is so ANNOYING! I don't ever remember the old Spongebob being so lame, stupid, and miss leading! Its like the writers are trying to ruin our gen.! I don't even watch Nick anymore because its nothing but pure $HIT! >:/ I wish I was back in the 90s again... -_-'

I'm glad that I own Spongebob DVDs of the old episodes. Though I liked a few of the ones after 'The Spongebob Squarepants Movie', most of them, not so much. XP

One episode that REALLY made me mad was the yellow diary episode. That episode in my opinion was DISGUSTING! it was soooo Stupid and mean spirited it was insulting to people who have diaries and it was STRAIGHT UP insulting to people who use diaries to escape depression and maybe died from the condition, and the ending made me ticked off soo much i almost punched my tv! >:(

Spongebob has being falling since its got to the top. Know it makes Patrick look mean and selfish. Spongebob look like a complete ideot. I mean Spongebob cared about everyone in the sea. Now he just is a ideot. The only newer episode i like is the Krusty Towers. It made sence and it was actually Funny!!! Spongebob needs to be retired. He's just is worn out.

one special i think is good(in my opinion) was the 2012 X-mas special because it was written by Tom Kenny the voice actor of spongebob, spongebob wasn't annoying and dumb in that special, the characters were likeable, and the plot was simple but yet effective. tom SHOULD be writing the spongbob episodes because he KNOWS who spongebob really is since it's air time on Nick and NOT what the dumb a** writers want him to be. ^U^

I wish it can get back like it was in the 90s... Spongebob lost his smarts,Patrick got mean,Squidward is just squidward,and then there are characters that are not showing up on the episode like Sandy... She is hardly on the new Spongebob .This is just sad....
