Practice with an alternative drawing style:
This is an original idea inspired by the movie, #PacificRim. I don't have any ideas as to what it's name should be, but it can electrify its spines, and has a scythe- like tail. Please view my gallery for additional paintings. Comments are appreciated.

Beautifully done! Cool and original design and for some reason I can't stop staring at that black-and-orange background! Also this reminds me of Smyths Toy shops (I don't know if you know them, depends where you're from). I really don't know why.
For names, I don't know, because I don't know if you're asking for a species name or a name for this particular creature.
