Awwwwww you poor thing. My family has no middle child.But I guess my sister counts as the middle child. We're 6 years apart though so it's a little more difficult to see eye to eye.

Aye, I too am the middle child. My parents have always known about this classic tidbit bit. Ive felt theyve really tried to change that and not let me feel "overlooked"

Still, it happened/happens from that standpoint, its nearly unavoidable. The youngest and oldest demand first and last dibs on attention, the youngest is often the most spoiled as it grows up with older figures who will usually treat them differently, more paternal. They also of course get more attention as a whole for the reasons youve stated.
And older children of course get the first dibs, the higher authority, but also more priority, seeing as how they usually reach their "needs" first. School expenses, sports, hobbies, etc.
I know when I have children, especially if I have 3, i'll work very hard to erase any "middlechildisms"

im just used to it. the only attention i get is when someone in my family makes of me for mistakes ive made in the past. my family bullies me because there is no middle child. im the eldest but my cousin considered older even though he's 12. hes a big child

I would do ALL of those things...(I'm the youngest out of the 3 of us) But she is barely home and when she is its a night when I'm asleep.

You really are such a beautiful soul. There's no middle child in my home.. But my Cousin, Miranda, is the middle child in her home out of FOUR kids. She's still young.. but I know she feels this way. She's always quiet. Very artsy. So I try to talk to her and draw with her everytime I see her.
