Best I can tell you is watch some animated movies and just enjoy, maybe you'll get an idea. If you need a pony to draw, start with #DreamerintheSky , he thinks everyone hates him. Hope you'll build your motivation again.

Why not do a painting for each of the mane six with their own family? Would be a lot of work but might be a cute project.
