Nice pic! ^u^ Although, in my opinion, they're making already over way powered pokemon even stronger, and giving them abilities to further that! Megas are going to take over all the compeditive battling... o3o' Not to mention, the first event for X and Y was announced to be a Speed Boost Torchic that can evolve into Mega Blazekin. If it's an event, it's probably not posible to obtain them unless special breeding or something is done. My entire team could be left out.... (sorry, about the pokenerd rant... :P)

^I'd bet that these mega forms, depending on how they work, will be banned from competetive play in the same way that legendaries usually are. Just a thought. :)

Yeah, true, but I still think Gamfreak's taking a really risky step with Mega Forms. It'll either wind up a huge success, or an epic fail depending on how they decide to play it. I'm really hoping it works out though, the desighns are too cool to pass up. ^u^

i kinda dont feel all that good about them either even though i love their designs xD well except ampharos they just added a few markings and a wig and now its a electric dragon? really? :/ and i really hope they dont keep the "mega" in their names i mean come on like everyone wants to say "Go! MegaLucario","Go! MegaAbsol" it really does get old :/

I'm confused on these Megas. Are they a 4th evolution or a different form?

I seriously hope I'm still able to play as lucario's normal form....not very fond of the mega's appearance.

^From what I can tell, it sounds like a new classification of evolution that takes an existing Pokemon and makes them much more powerfull without completely changing their appearance like a normal evolution. If Mewtwo's Awakening is anything to go by, this transformation will most likely be temporary. I also think their names will remain the same and that the classification "Mega" refers to the form itself. That's just my speculation. :)

They released more info and it looks like you're right Time Paladin. It's only temperary. The pokemon must be holding a "Mega Stone" to change into their Mega form. It also said not all pokemon will have a Mega Form but I'm guessing that just means nonevolved pokemon. It seems like the people at Gamefreak do know what they're doing after all. VuV

In my opinion the idea was stupid. I like the new look but honestly i think the "Megas" should have been another evolution not form. The new type being called Fairy instead of Light was dumb too... Im worried they are going to ruin pokemon and make it lame like those other cheap rip-offs (Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, Bakugon, ect)

Give lucario a quiker, more solid controls and a more fighting type based moveset and it might work.
however, something doesnt feel right about putting lucario, even with a new form, in smash bros twice in a row when he was the replacement for mewtwo in brawl :T sorry. i know hes your main but it feels empty for some reason i cant put my finger on.

I have heard that there could only be one megapokemon in a party at a time. From the video on serebii, I have came to believe that a mega evolution would occur at the beginning of a battle, permanent is still questionable. It also seems that a mega stone has to be found within game and could possably be a key item.

The mega stones will not be key items because the first event for Pokemon X & Y is a Speed Boost Torchic holding the Blazikenite, which can't be found through normal gameplay. The mega evoltuions are not going to be permanent because they will always revert after battle. The megas are so epic looking! I can't wait! I'm gonna "Catch 'em all" and get all to Level one-hundred. I train alot of Pokemon to Level one-hundred, not just Legendarys. Lucario and Blaziken are my new favorites now. Mewtwo also.

Well, if these two were to fight, MegaMewtwo would DEFINITELY win. Mewtwo itself can learn Fire Blast using a TM, can learn Blizzard, and Pystrike. And no offense, but MegaLucario looks overdone. The 'locks' look bumpy and red isn't a good color. I'm not saying I hate it, I love Lucario because my shiny one pummels a lot of people, but I also like Mewtwo. MegaMewtwo and MegaLucario should be Final Smashes for SSB4, because it seems fair. Anyways, MegaLucario is cool, and I love how he can learn Dark Pulse, Dragon pulse, and other strong moves. :D

They need to think about kids that played Lego city and put in Chase Mcain I mean come on he has great fighting moves and his final smash could be him hand cuffing some body and then shoots them off screen! I want Chase Mcain!

^I like your idea, but Nintendo puts in characters in SSB games that are well-known and popular; having previous games in the series. HOWEVER, Chase MCcain also has a chance of becoming part of a future SSB game, because Wiifit trainer got in, and nobody expected that. I like your opinion. :D

they are not real evolutions you can only access them in battle and only 1 per battle but you need to get their mega stones

I saw a Japanese video with a guy vs a girl in a double battle.

The girl made a mega Blaziken and it kicked @ss. It's way too overpowered and I think it's a bit of a dumb idea to be truthful.

Although I DO like the look of the game. But most of them have really dumb names like, for instance:
Go-goat. just. what?
