Bones by HeroOfLegend813

This was just a quick sketch, but I was thinking about how people associate skinny with pretty, and that's not true. You don't have to be skinny to be beautiful. So I drew what the media classifies 'pretty' as. Likes and feedback are appreciated.

That's true that people often associate being "pretty" with being "skinny". What most people don't realize is that a lot of those skinny models and actresses are actually starving themselves. Basicly, by trying to be like them you'll most likely end up hurting yourself without meaning to. I ignore how "pretty" all those models and etc, because I've known better since I was little. (Sure, technically, I'm underweight, but this is due to medical reasons. Not the media.)
Who cares how skinny you are? Some people don't find skinny people attractive in the first place.
In the end, what does it matter how you look at all?

Ribbons look great in 3D! The small strokes give off that nice sketchy feel.

No i didn't draw the " b o o b s". I covered them up like any decent artist would on colors3d.

LokiStargazer: i agree completely, I know what it's like to be bone thin (i had health problems), and being that skinny isn't pretty in any way. even if the models have nice faces, that doesn't mean they are beautiful. I believe that beauty comes from self confidence and personality, not from peer-approval.

very well put. but unless the media stops the charade of superficial beauty, we will always have people lacking self confidence.

I really love that you are using this app to actually do something that is good for society. Most drawings on this app are just, well, drawings. And there's nothing wrong with that. But this one actually has some value to it. Great job, I mean it.

looks cool. especially the hair. i dont really understand the whole skinny thing though? i mean how the drawing says anything. i would think you would draw something contradictary to society. idk though. i came here from the tracers pic which i completley agree with. you should check some of my pics if you want :)

Seriously guys, most people are on colors to look at art, not your creepy half naked skinny women fantasies. and there are kids on here, i dont think they want to see "media classified pretty" girls without their dresses on. Does anyone else agree that these have taken over half of colors?

To be honest, I prefer women with a slender body. I'm not shallow or anything, there are plenty of good-looking slender women I've turned down. The media really does hit you with those subliminal messages, though. By the way, I like what you have to say in your painting comments. All of them. People seem to get the idea that you are unappreciative of art. Methinks you appreciate art a lot, and don't appreciate the borderline pron and legal plagiarism on here. People post those rather mean comments because in general, when they see something that pertains to restricting what people should draw, they get miffed. But you have as much, if not more, freedom to say that they're wrong to do what they're doing, than they do to draw the things they do. Seriously, people, you're either looking way too deep into her comments and judging her character, or you aren't looking deep enough, and you're completely missing her point and start talking about something that sounds relevant, but is really just preachy nonsense. Don't like the comments? Take your own advice people and get over it.

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE WHEN SOMEONE EXPLAINS SOMETHING AND GOES OVER IT WITH A FINE-TOOTHED COMB AND YET PEOPLE ARE JUST TOO OBLIVIOUS TO REALIZE THAT IT WAS EXPLAINED RIGHT IN THEIR FACE AND CONTINUE WITH THE DUMB QUESTIONS? ISN'T THAT THE BEST? (Love the pic, btw, very beautiful and it says alot)

The only people being oblivious are those who think what IS and what ISN'T Artistic, is a concept set in stone, and not up for opinion/interpretation.

Nice use of the ribbon. Some people consider this nudity but I don't as, unlike some of those OTHER drawings on here, this is an artistic form on nudity, not an erotic one. As for the message, I agree. I'm not incredibly skinny, but I'm not overly fat either. My family says I'm 'perfect' >>

Actual models don't even starve themselves. They're just normal people photoshopped, but younger kids don't know that, so they starve themselves :(
