yeah... Not to brag, but I am probs the best mecha artist on Colors. If I ever see a mech that someone made that looks better than mine, I'm all like: "Aw, man!" And then another commenter is all like: "Isn't this from Gundam or Evangelion or whatever?" And then the artist is all like: "Nooooo, this is mah original creation!" But you google one of those things, and thank goodness, it is from "Whatever." Ha! I will not be defeated! '-'

No probs, gary. Fc's are weird but I'm doing this so if I need to be in contact with someone they can easily find it here. I don't really use swapnote at all.

Secondly, I completely agree with you. Even when I search for some original mechs on Da its hard to find good work. You create awesome mechs that, while I'd classify them as Eastern mechs, are still original and are very pleasing to the eyes of a fanatic like me.

oh, I'm working on one that is more western looking now. It is just that the Tokira, led by Ryajin, prefer humanoid (or should I say Tokira- like) mecha.

Yeah... I'd classify western as like mechwarrior or WH 40k. Eastern are like Gundam and Full Metal Panic. Its all just how they are portrayed.

Western- big, clunky and very powerful
Eastern- humanoid, nimble and the main characters always somehow have OP weapons on hand.

Yeah... This guy is definitely more clunky, and not inherently heroic. The "Garyverse" contains both varieties, with western mechs used primarily by the UNE or the Crimson Armada. (Both of which I will eventually get around to drawing)

I have a brief comparison up on a tutorial I did a bit earlier. (Please view my older stuff) Although, I referred to them as "Mech" and "Mecha." While the terms are interchangeable, Mech conjures up images in the mind of Western Gear, while mecha has a Japanese super- robot connotation.
