Safarifox: True, but there really is no way of knowing for certain which characters would be suitable for this game. If anyone suggested Wii Fit Trainer before the announcement, people would've probably said that she wouldn't work out either. Not that I disagree, but I'd always welcome unexpected characters. (except maybe Regie, who people are literally petitioning for to be in SSB4 >_<).

girahim's final smash could be him in his final form or maybe the more damaged he is the higher teir he becomes. final could be him turning into the anti master sword and acting like super sonic does(flys around)

don't really see how phosfora wouldent be over powered. mii, well they did mention custumization. zorarch, well mewtwo was popular then it was lucario but i think the best odds is someone with the similar moveset to not angrey anyone, mostlikely an x/y pokemon. idk whom that is above vic... and even though link was able to beat all of his forms, girahim seems like he would be over powered or a more melee based zelda move set.

mix between marth and zelda seems like a counter would suit him. all those counter he did in game... and towering "rockets" you can hit on time to reflect.

correction idk who that is above, whoever i know who packman is lol. i don't really see potentail for packman i see as much potentail for him in this game as much as any tekin character.

TCG's right. A mii has SO much potential. It's moves could be various sport equipment from wii sport resort, such as the bow and arrow. A final smash could be the jet plane from pilotwings.

But if I'm to pick a character that's not shown above, it'll have to be professer layton!
...No, seriously! He could use his fencing sword from miracle mask. Or use his robot dog from curious village. His final smash would have don pallo triggering the big ferris wheel, smashing other players off the court. =)

^Ratchet & Clank are already in Playstation All-Stars, which is a pretty decent game that's similar to Smash Bros., if you own a PS3.

Yoshi Ringo: While Zoroark is a likely candidate to be included, I don't think it will be at Lucario's expense. Lucario is a lot more popular than some people seem to think. He's been in a number of episodes on top of his own movie, he played a prevelant role in the animated short for Black & White 2 as well as appearing in the interactive feature on X & Y (both way beyond his own generation), and was included in the first wave of figurines for Pokemon Rumble U alongside Pikachu and beginer Pokemon (and we all know how popular those guys are).

I'd say Mewtwo has a better chance than Zoruark. Sakurai said he's thinking about Mewtwo, also with His new form being introduced in X and Y. Zoruark has been in 1 movie and hasn't been a very important pokemon. Zorua appeared more in the Anime, so mabye Zorua as a pokeball pokemon? I'd also say Mewtwo is more popular and more requested.

All these would be awesome in SSB4. I'd love to see Smeargle in a Smash Bros game as at least a pokeball character, but I doubt He'll be a playable character. He's not exactly a recognizable pokemon...

I would love to see Shulk from Xenoblade or Neku from The World Ends With You in the new game, but that will never happen T-T

Each of these characters have potential. But Ive always perfered Lucario over Zorark. People on miiverse say miis are unlikeley but they could use weapons/items from Find mii, Nintendo land, pilotwings, or Wii sports :/ Phosphora has a decent chance she was pretty popular in KI:U But honestly i'd want magnus more :l But Sakurai made KI:U sooooo... KI:U OVER KIL.L IN SSB4 :p Shulk and most Xenoblade characters are owned by nintedo so he has a high chance. Plus, it would be a great way to get Xenoblade out there, I never even heard about it before people started requesting Shulk :p Even though SSB4 is being made by Namco, Sakurai said Pacman is unlikley and Namco characters have an Ok chance :/ Pacman has no potential moveset though, BUT another namco character like Lloyd would Fit right in :) Ghirihim was very popular when Skyward Sword was realesed :l Should replace ganondorf since ganon's B moveset is basicly Captain Falcon's But i bet Both Ganon AND Ghirihim will be in :)

I want less mario characters :l So far in SSB Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Donkey kong, Yoshi, Diddy, peach and Wario have been in a SSB game, thats 8 characters that all originated from mario some with spinoff series. Paper Mario has Potential his series is popular and technicaly he is not a mario character since he was never in Mario kart/party(s)/Sport games And to those to say he's a clone... HAMMA TIME :P
Waluigi isnt even in classic mario games, he originated and is only in Mario Kart/Party(s)/Sports Bowser Jr. Could be in since he originated from Mario sunshine not a sports game.

I think Rayman would be a good character to have but it's doubtful since legends is no longer wii u exclusive. other ones would be simon belmont, pac man, bomberman, gen 2/3 pkmn trainer, protoman, Geno, tails or knuckles(i'm confidante sonic will return)
as a joke character i'd have the dude from the NES game urban champion, he'd only have 2 moves, punch and kick, he'd be my main

Zenon: That's actually kinda what I'm hoping for. I don't think Phosphora would get in if it was based entirely on how frequently characters were requested. There is a way I could see her getting in though, and that's if Sakurai decided to represent the three warring factions in Kid Icarus Uprising. I realise though that this doesn't affect the outcome of the game. It's just fun speculation. :)

Well, phosphora, since she was a baddy in the game and not super focused on, would most likely be an a.ss.ist trophy, If anyone would be a playable character from KI:U, it would be magnus, since he got more attention, heck you play as magnus once. Ghihiram would be a.ss.ist, Packman, maybe a.ss.ist. Zoaroark would be a.ss.ist, Mii might be playable. Also remember, these characters would need moves to match, if they dont have the moves they become a.ss.ist.

i personally would love to see ameterasu, spyro and cynder, girahim, and zoroark

The Kid Icarus characters that I think have a chance of getting in, Palutena: Second most main character, been in every game, But Pit would never fight her under normal circumstances. Magnus: New character to uprising and is very strong for a human. Phosphora: Really the only way to represent the forces of nature without putting Viridi in herself, If shes not playable we could see her as a stage hazard as a reset bomb stage has already been confirmed.

^I can agree with that. I also think Thanatos has a fair shot because he'd be one of the best reps for the underworld army (and seeing as Sakurai enjoys including unusual characters in Smash Bros., Thanatos could fit in quite nicely).

I think that the Black Mage from the earier versions of Final Fantasy.

He was in Super Smash Flash which is a fan-made game and an awesome version of SSB with characters the creator thought would make a nice fit in Brawl.
You can play it online but you can also download it which I find to be better. You should try it if you haven't yet.

Also, it would be very nice to play as Final Fantasy characters. But even if SSB4 devs won't add them, I'll still will be able to play for them as Mii Fighter, cuz I got the Miis :3
