this seems to be the case with me because I see plenty of people with 30 followers that put no effort into their work. Im still in the single didgets and ive been here scince day one.

thing is, the first 2 that commented have several more followers than me. and the third doesnt polish their work.

Ookami explained it perfectly. But as long as the thumbnail looks good enough to make people want to tap on it, you should be fine in respect to followers.
