My roleplay sample:

Monochrome paced the ground, her black paws soon turning a dusty brown. Her thoughts troubled her, and she didn't know what to do. Her trainer was nowhere in sight even though the human had said it will only be a few minutes. Suddenly, Monochrome's ears shot up as she heard familiar footsteps: the same ones belonging to her trainer. Monochrome's fiery pink eyes promptly filled with worry. She didn't know if she was ready to confront the human. "Hi Vulpix!" The grayscale Vulpix was shaken from her thoughts. It didn't take long before the human brought out an ultra-ball: Monochrome's ultra-ball. The unevolved Pokemon became filled with fright, and with that, she sprang, grabbing and smashing the high-tech device in her jaws. "What the heck, Vulpix?!" The human cried, stomping on the ground. "My trainer," Monochrome began, "I cannot be with you. I miss the freedom of being my own Pokemon...being amongst my friends...I'm sorry, but this is where I depart." And with that ending statement, the Vulpix turned tail (tails?) and bolted, dashing off as fast as she could. She bounded over every fallen tree branch, and singed every low-hanging one. Free...at last...Slow, a smile drifted across Monochrome's face. She was overjoyed to be free once again. Life would begin anew...
