as a pokemon nerd i would try to find out how smeargle can talk. that is, if i ever come to my senses after fainting from meeting a real smeargle.

Smeargle: How'd I learn to talk? Well, I'm a really fast learner, even for a Smeargle so it only took me about five years to learn it in writing. It took a lot of practice, and a little help from Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit for me to master actually SPEAKING human Language.

Well, actually Chatot's Signature move is Chatter. It lets your pokemon talk. Ironicly, it's the ONLY move a Smeargle can't learn.... o3o'
