Creator Masahiro Sakurai said that he wouldn't be against putting Mewtwo in the new game, so maybe... just maybe...

I think Mewtwo would be a great character for "Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U". But it would be a good idea to find a way for it to transform into forme X and forme Y. Maybe down and B.
