should i be concerned by Nothing-Important

My 3DS is fully charged & this just happéned. I don't know if it's some faulty thing going on w/ it, but it's not like I can't blame it. The poor thing has endured countless falls on concrete, tile, and dirt for two years and four months and has been sprayed by water a couple of times. I have left it out in scorching hot temperatures, I have left it on for endless hours, and worst of all, my cat has sat on it.

In that case, do an exchange. It's cheaper.

I don't know, It acts weird sometimes. On occasion I get a black screen of death w/ no text on either screen. Same thing happens with my Game Boy, but it still works so I still have my hopes that my 3DS should function for a few more years to come.

When someone is online it flashes orange.

Nothing-Important

02 Aug, 2013, 8:55 am

Yeahh I'm thinking it's because of overuse as well. Now my battery won't last longer than a couple of hours. ;-; boo hoo

Nothing-Important

if it flashes orange, its really just a sign a friends coming online. and if the battery is soon empty you can buy a new one. I am sure your 3DS loves you and is glad to be with you and doesn´t want to lay in a showcase and glaze. It loves every second you use it. I speak with mine, it has a name and I love it so much. Am I crazy?

DelfinoDurians

02 Aug, 2013, 10:58 am

While mine does not do that, the camera light will not turn off. It's actually draining the system of half of it's power.

sublime

02 Aug, 2013, 11:59 am

mine never does that. but mine got broke because i was taking the charger out and the charger socket came out of the 3ds. i was freaking out but then, my mom sent it to nintendo to get it fixed and the socket was fixed.
but it looks like the person who did it did a poor job but, it still works. I want 3dxl because sometimes i can't find my 3ds sometimes....

My 3DS sometimes takes a really long time to turn on and the screen is just black but maybe you burned the battery out because after you charge it a certain amount of times the battery life starts decreasing more and more. My DS has been through everything, heat, cold, water, snow, drops, falls down the stairs, people stepping on it, getting tossed at the wall, and my dog laying on top of it but it's still alive.

02 Aug, 2013, 5:46 pm

My 3DS won't let me use the camera and the sound directly from the app ;-; But, it still works if I take a picture through swapnote or something..
It doesn't bother me TOO much but it's still annoying :T

It's our battery, it needs to be replaced. I have an original black 3DS, and it started doing this last month. Anyway, just keep it plugged into an outlit until you can buy a new battery and replace it.

Meow-Mix

02 Aug, 2013, 8:09 pm

Wow, if it really is the battery then holy moly I use my 3DS wayyyy too much. I've had my first generation DS for 9 years and I've never had to replace its battery. Then again, the 3DS has features that depletes battery life faster, but w/e.

Curseways

02 Aug, 2013, 9:05 pm

yeah chances are you have to replace the battery. No i dont think its cuz you overused it. Think about how many over advanced applications are on one of theese. The batterys just arnt as long lasting. If your on chat?

My R Button stopped working recently :(
And quite often, my DS freezes and then restarts whenever I'm on Colors and it's really annoying because nothing I do saves

Bennett

03 Aug, 2013, 4:53 am

One time, I left my 3DS in sleep mode and it ran out of batteries. When I charged it and opened it, before the picture came up, the light slowly became blue, because there was a spotpass notification on it before it ran out. Maybe the reason it was red is that it was flashing before it shut off.
But then that means mine should have been red too...

uhh idk :O

Bennett

03 Aug, 2013, 4:56 am

Or maybe it just didn't charge well. Because one time I was playing it with a low battery and it did that. Maybe the charger got unplugged somehow.

But if the battery is at full charge and doing that, then I'll just be really confused. XD

it's the OBSOLESCENCE COUNTER activated - you should quickly BUY (buy buy buy buy... and don't forget buy!) a new one!

no, seriously i'm impressed 3ds is kind of endurable taking some falls and i'm overheating my accu with playing while it's on cable (not good!) - still works good beside some area on the screen which has some - light moving the painting cursor to the left- damage.

maybe your sd or you accu has some errors?

This is completely harmless. This simply means that the device has been fully charged. Happens to me all the time.
