I feel your pain, here is my suggestion.
Develope your own style. Look at people, & drawings of people. pay attention to what makes a human look like one. Practice drawing them. Use bits & pieces of other styles. Don't erase anything. Build on the crappy drawings & eventually it will turn into a unique style all you own. Sorry it's not a quick fix :(, but it's a solid course of action. Hope this helps ^ ^
