Echo by RoxxPardus
Echo was created by a mad scientist who implanted him with an 'experimental emotions chip'. The experiment was deemed a failure and Echo was left behind in a shutdown state when the scientist moved his lab. Years later Echo was rebooted mysteriously and now wanders around, observing people and trying to make sense of the emotions a robot should not be capable of feeling. The chip is prone to overloads triggered randomly, resulting in intense outbursts of emotion by Echo.

Inspiration for Echo came from many places, some more obvious than others; Cassern Sins, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Invader Zim, FLCL, Bender from Futurama, Weatly from Portal, and Pixar's Robots.

Most of his demeanor comes from Cassern Sins, a really great anime. I haven't seen anything from Teenage Robot in years, it actually wasn't until I had almost finalized his design that I realized he reminded me of Jenny. Most of the things on my list of inspiration for him are things I wasn't specifically thinking of while making him, but realized later that they must have influenced me while drawing him.
