Flipnote Hatena HAD to shut down.Nintendo were had this thing with the 3DS (can't remember name) and so they had to shut down Flipnote Hatena. Sorry this is a terrible explanation. Just know that they didn't do this to increase 3DS and 3DS XL sales.

the same thing nintendo did to the wii, removing nintendo wii shop and a GIGANTIC portion of other apps, but u have to admit, that the 3DS DID come much better ever since, thts why, its time to MOVE ON. One day, flipnote stidio goes and it'll say 'moving to 4DS' Lol
