Why is it called a "Tepig"? I can understand Pignite (sorta) and Emboar. But, Tepig!? The only words I understand from "Tepig" is pi,g but, what about te? Could someone please give me an explanation?! #Pokemon#Tepig#Problem#Comic#rant#3Ds
Yeah, it's a play off of the word "tepid". Tepid is used in the English language and it means basically "lukewarm"... not hot or cold, just sort of warm... :D
So yeah it makes sense actually. Almost all Pokemon names are a reference to real words.
I think the name is a combo of "tepid", which means sort ot warm, and the animal it resembles. I tried to put in the animal's name, but Colors 3d wouldn't allow it.
