I agree that 'win by likes' is unfair, majoritively. It should be the judge who decides a winner.
But Likes in general are not a bad thing.
Likes tend to show popularity. Many Consistent likes means a better artist than 1 highly liked picture.
I'm not using the best grammer, but I hope my meaning came across lol
