Miranda was born in the future. She has spent her whole life training w/ her mentors, Silver & Shadow. One day, Miranda got back early from a training exercise when she overheard a conversation between her 2 mentors. (Going to speech)
"She's progressing well." Silver told Shadow. "What can you expect from the reincarnation of Sonic." Shadow said. "After all she is the future's savior." "But since she is Sonic's reincarnation, she will have to be careful." Silver responded. "Luck for us she's a reincarnation."

Miranda, shocked, told her mentors about how they were only training her because she was the reincarnation of Sonic. Shadow & Silver tried to tell her that wasn't why they were training her, but Miranda fled in tears. While running, Miranda went through a Time Portal, taking her to the past. Once she went through, she couldn't recognize the place. Out of no-where, a green fox ran into Miranda. The green fox helped Miranda up. She introduced herself as Mackenzie. Once they got to know eachother, Mackenzie offered for Miranda to stay w/ Sonic & Sally. Miranda quickly realized she was in the past, not the future. Ever since then Miranda has been fighting against Eggman, keeping her secret from anyone else.
