Clare is a different kind of [insert her pokemon species here because I'm bad at spelling it]. When she was born, she had a different pattern on her head than others or her species. Her clan thought it was a bad omen and cast her out.
Claire is based off one of my friends and the actual pokemon I have in my Pkmn Black (Man, she can wipe out an entire team!)
