I only direct people to my gallery when I see a similar picture, and I ask them to compare. Otherwise, I just hope people find their way there on there own.

Thank you guys. Yeah, that's a nice way of leading the person to your gallery, not just a direct 'look at my gallery'. And well, it does make us angry, but the best we can do is delete those kind of comments.

I feel the same way. I only have one (that I remember) It was on my red head dancer pic. It's directly from my sketchbook so I was pretty proud of it. Last I've checked I only have a "cool pic, look at my gallery" comment. At the very least say what you like about it! Or even give me some constructive criticism! I would delete it but I don't want to delete ANY comment. Even if it's rude/a shameless plug.

That's a record. o: And yes, it is very annoying when you put so much effort on a painting and no one actually comment, just advertise their so loved galleries. So, people, I don't know a good solution to that problem, maybe drawing things like this will stunt a few ones, but not all of them.

People who say "VISIT MY GALLREY LOLOLO" are the kind of people I would ram my horns into. Even worse, their gallery is BAD.

Here's what you do- make a point of not ever clicking on someones gallerry if they just post to say that. I tend to find quite a lot of the community on here are pretty decent though. At the end pf the day if you spend hours creating something and someone says something nice and/or constructive then I tend to click on their galleries because if they take the time to look at my stuff then it makes me want to look at theirs... sorry for long post. Oh and your gallery is cool-some people don't need to advertise ;)

Oh I understand that feeling real well, but I find it a bit more tolerable if they compliment while doing so. However, it is still annoying sometimes.

Yay I gave you your gold star! But yeah I do hate it when people do that, I mean do they really think they'll get enough likes on their gallery to even be in this weeks best JUST by saying that? If they want to be popular, they just need to draw good, not advertise because some of the best artists on here weren't found by them saying "Check my gallery"!

I so totally agree. Now I kinda get it if somebody has really cool art that gets no likes if they make a painting like "If you like pokemon check out my gallery" but steait out, " Check my gallery " is pretty annoying and rude. Its also fine if you make a lets say pokemon again pic and somebody comments, " Nice, I make alot of pokemon stuff too! Could you swing by my gallery if you wanna? " Thats fine. I totally agree with you though.

Oh my, I didn't know this would get a gold star. o: Thanks everyone who agreed and commented on here!(I'll comment on your galleries) I'm sorry if the message looks a bit too aggressive, but we must stunt them somehow, or else thwy wouldn't care and continue advertising their galleries. By the way, a good way of "showing your gallery" to other people is commenting with tips, construtive criticism, etc. And it's ok if you mention stuff that you have in your gallery, like "*comment* oh, and I painted X too!".

i have the same thing happen on some of my artwork i have three different pictures of link on steroids and one of the comments said look at my gallery and it was a pretty good picture

Yes, agreed. Especially when people just go "Cool, check my gallery". It's like they're being parasites in our galleries to advertise for free! And that's not cool at all. Comments like that only deserve to get deleted. And honestly, most of the time their stuff is just poop anyway. /Most/ of the time.
