Yah, unfortunately this is painfully true. It seems that most OCs are just recolored versions of existing characters, and most of them are complete Mary Sues (perfect and all-powerful characters who always win at everything no matter what). What annoys me is how people then make their characters as "fan-servicey" as possible to appeal to all the weirdos out there, I mean seriously.
