"You're pretty good at this, eh?" a voice broke Athens from her trance. Silent Tempo, right? Yeah, that was her name.
Athens bunched up her muscles to push another barrel into the large wooden cart.
"I guess? I don't know." she mumbled.
This day was was nice; it was warm and partly cloudy. The best part was that the clouds covered the sun more-than-half the time. Warmth without the pain of direct sunlight.

"That's funny." Silent answered as she was struggling to push hee seventh barrel. Athens was on her fifteenth.
"You need any help?" Athens asked, taking a break to look over at Silent.
"Ah wouldn't mind. I think we would get them in faster if we worked together, you know."
The sentence sounded awkward and her accent became more prominent than ever. Athens thought Silent noticed as well, since her face turned a little red. Athens merely nodded and finnished pushing her barrel into the cart and trotted over to help.

"You can push and I'll pull." she said as she loosely wrapped a rope around the barrel. She took both ends in her mouth and started to pull.
"Well? Aren't ya gonna push?!" she yelled through clenched teeth.
The blue pony twitched her ears realizing she was staring and went over to push. It felt very odd very odd to her; her hooves would start to slide down the barrel everytime she slowed and Silent didn't. Walking backwards was not her forte, so her forelegs were sore by the time they were done. They did get it done faster than Athens had predicted with the two working alone. The sun /felt/ low in the sky, despite what little the clouds allowed her to feel.
"Is that it?" Athens asked, hoping that they would move on to something less strenuous.
Silent stretched her wings out and jumped onto the cart with a large downstroke of her wings. Athens sat down as Silent mumbled numbers periodically, walking around on top the barrels.

"Forty three... forty four... five!" she hopped down and trotted over nodding.
"Yes- No, there's no more work. Everything's here." Forty-five wine barrels? Now Athens understood why there were so many stallions upfront and tied to the cart.
"Oh yeah, where's my pay?" Athens blurted out before it could slip from her memory again.
Apparently she sounded demanding or something, as Silent made a gesture that looked somewhat amused. Nevertheless, she disappeared for a few moments and returned with a small pouch of shiny golden bits.

"Here is payment as payment is due." she said, taking a slight bow to exaggerate the comment.
"Ah thanks." Athens mumbled, took the pouch in her mouth, and started to walk away. She slowed and looked back to see Silent still standing there. Athens quickly looked away and started to walk with a slightly longer stride.
"Heeey," Athens flinched as she heard the voice directly beside her. There Silent was, right on her left side.
"I wanted to know something, before you leave, that is." the sentence sounded choppy.
But she didn't even hear her approach! She was probably too occupied in her thoughts to hear Silent coming, maybe it was just that.
"Like what?" she said, keeping an apathetic face the whole time.
"If you wanted to do some more work with me, that is."
"Uh," How would she respond to that?
"They pay a little more than Dominiq, I'm sure!"
They most likely would, since Dominiq stopped paying her after giving the bedroom to her. Well, more like Athens refused to accept pay for the sake of having an "equal trade-off." The bits did have a nice jingle to them in this pouch. Maybe a little more wouldn't hurt, but that bed was really cozy.

"Well- Oh, sorry. Nevermind, I said nothing at-"
"I guess I could." the words slowly came from Athens' mouth, as if she were deciding whether or not to bite the words back.
"Gosh, that's wonderful, really!" Silent smiled and her eyes lit up, taking no concern in the unicorn's reluctance. She seemed to be daydrea.ming for a split second before looking at Athens again.
"So, how about early tomorrow?"
"I guess." was all Athens could muster up.
"You know how funny you are? Well, the date is set now, Athens!"
She flew off, leaving Athens to ponder whether or not she had just expirenced some form of deja vu. [d]

Why is the word 'daydr.eaming' censored? Of all things?

I actually think the perspective looks pretty great! The way the sky and the ground curls around is neat, and it works well.
(i'm really bad at this commenting thing; i adore your art, though)
