I thought something slightly different but not far from what you interpreted from it, in fact it might be the same just different wording ^^, ok so what I thought was that you should go ahead and try and face a challenge without worrying that it won't turn out perfect and meeting people's expectations, like making an exact replica of famous painting or their style because everyone has their own style and creativity, so there might be different versions of perfection. And so idk if that's what he meant, but i guess it could be like a painting where you interpret your own way. Salvador is a painter btw and he has a waved mustache like the one drawn underneath his name. ^^ That was a good meaning you got from it though I was impressed. ^^
