i'm better on paper too but you start to get the hang of colour very quickly

You aren't bad. Defiantly not a n00b. I won't say the best, but skill'll gradually increase later on. Try watching the playback of others' drawings, it might just help with your skill.

It took me a while to get used to drawing on this app. too. This isn't bad,though ^-^
