Chilling by Athens
I try to be subtle when making pokemon characters. They usually have some defining mark or slight color difference so they can be different from other pokemon of their species without being a 'special snowflake'. Yeah, recolored pokemon characters definately rub me the wrong way.

I'm fine with differently colored ones as long as they're not utterly ridiculous, like a rainbow one or neon colors all over. XD

[Wicca&Katt] I think it's alright when the universe you have your charries set in has varying recolors as the norm their. Otherwise I get 'special snowflake' vibes, heh.

I understand the heavily recolored thing being obnoxious. I one found this pic of a black and gray fox with ice blue markings and thought "What a cute fox character!" Then I saw it was suppose to be a Fennekin. The ears were the only clue as to what it might be...

Yeah, it's OCs like those where I wonder if other pokemon of their species would even be able to reconize them.

I'm really surprised I missed this one! It's really neat seeing Pokemon characters with little individualizing features and stuff c: These two are really cute!
