This took a while, I started with a grainy photo, but ended up not using it as the colours were all off and there was very little detail, so I ended up using a proper image as reference.

Hmmm...I'm really starting to see the truth in that "Colors! In a ********" picture. I will admit that the 3D effect is well done though.

You did a fine job on the 3D. You masterfully executed even the most minute features, then potrayed them extremely well. I'd say that you could work for a game company, or be an accomplished artist. Just don't trace. :D
