Yeah! I played percussion through middle and high school. I mostly played mallet instruments which I kinda turned into piano knowledge which is what I try to play now. I say try because I'm mediocre at best...
I've played piano for 7 years. I'm mostly into classical stuff, but sometimes I play pop songs by ear. The piano is probably the easiest instrument to play, in my opinion.
I pretty much play stuff that gets stuck in my head long enough to annoy me into playing it. The most impressive thing I can play is the intro into Fireflies by Owl City, which really isn't that impressive... I think triangle beats out piano in the easy department, lol.
Forgot about the triangle. By the way, if you mean that awesome, electronic sequence when you say "intro," then wow. It would be hard for me to do that. That's more than mediocre!
I think that's what I mean, yeah. It's all Do do dweep dwap dwup dadadadaduhduh, do dah do da da, do da de da de duh duh, dweep dwap dwup, duh dada dadedada, doop dwap, dwap de dap dap? (At least that's how I translate it...) It's not really as hard as it seems... But it really the only thing I know that is cool sounding... Well that and Clocks and a little of Viva la Vida by Coldplay
Clocks is fun to play. You know what sounds cool? You gotta try this. Record yourself playing Clocks backwards, then play that backwards. It might take a few tries, though.

Really, it can be anywhere from 100th of a second to 5 seconds. It all depends on tempo.

On a 4/4 time signature it would be half a beat :D KNOWLEDGE! .... my music teacher didn't teach me about otyer time signatures.

You are correct!
four/four: one half beat
three/four: one half beat
six/eight: one beat
two/four: one half beat
cut time: one beat (I think)

You think correctly!
P.S. I hate cut time. It's not particularly relevant, but I just thought I'd share.

I hate it, too. That's probably why I couldn't remember.
You play any instruments? With that knowledge, I would think so.

At least an eighth note would be long if you had a quick, obscure time signature like 12/16.

I love the way things sound when they get played backwards. It's like a bunch of crescendos into fortissimo pianos. I bet that sounds cool!

I was right, that sounds cool! And the reverse thing kinda sounds pretty even when played forward. Now it's stuck in my head...
