this is based on a print i created 20 years ago-oil on glass, high grade art paper w/fixer. My inspiration originally came from a National Geographic pic: this boy (6 yrs. old), from a poor village, gathers hemp, swamp grass, anything he is told, from dawn til dusk for just 50 cents a day. All the workers in the marsh/swamp were children.
