@illusion gem: People is probably one of the most difficult thing to learn and draw well; you're probably gonna find my answer redundant, haha. Observing from real life, learning form and anatomy helps the most. 'Drawing the Head and Hands' from Andrew Loomis is a good source. Once you get the basics--specially form--everything else will be easier. And of course, it all comes with practice so keep it up!
