m c escher would be proud. i think most of his work was probably meant to be seen this way...so YOU finally did it! every shadow, twist, break & 90 degee shift in gravity that escher drew simulated 3D. his dream was realized in your rendition: Brava!!!

Drew this myself many years ago, it was difficult enough on one layer yet alone five. Great job. Think im going to have to give Escher a go.
