shadowpelt pricked up his ears. Quickly he jumped to his paws and dashed over to a tree. He leaped up. ShadowPelt looked around like a hawk waiting for the unknown cat to approch. He could hear the padding of ots footsteps gradually getting closer. (such a cute pic btw! ^w^)

without thinking,Splashfeather dove behind the waterfall were the med-cats gather at halfmoon. the water felt like ice on her drenched pelt but she was detirmend to stay hidden.she braced herself if she had to pounce. she'd cerntanly surprise the NightClan warrior.suddenly, the patter paws churning water made her blood turn to ice.("No!") she barely kept her mouth shut. ("their are more than one.")she quickly dicoverd two more scents with it. she let her scents range into NightClan territory three,sleek, well musled warriors were heading to MoonFalls. ("No! They musn't find us!") she froze as the pawsteps reached land.the smell of NightClan reathed around her.she braced herself. ready to attack if she needed to. (thanks! ^u^)

btw,Splashfeather has very strong scenses,like Dovewing. ^u^

shadowpelt watched from high above watching the cats nervously. One black cat stood at the front. thinking-what are they doing here? Shadowpelt glanced down nervously, not knowing what to do. The cats seemed to be sniffing the area.

Splashfeather peeked from behid the waterfall.she recondised the black she-cat at once. it was NightClan's deputy Batflight. she didn't recondise the other two though. the stench of NightClan was everywhere, it was impossible to tell where they were.icecold fear crept down her spine as she watched the strange cats stiffing in every crack and crevise they could fit their noses into. it wouldn't be long till they found the two young cats..

Shadowpelt watched as the cats approched the river, the black cat dived in, it seemed they were looking for them. This was his chance. Silently he scampered down the tree and ran to splashfeather. "are you ok?" he purred. "we need to get outa here before they find us" he said whispering.

Shuddering, Splashfeather nodded. there was a tiny gap between the wall of stone. in here she whisperd to Shadowpelt. He had a discusted look on his face. then she rememberd that AshClan cats h.ate water. "it's not that bad really." she purred with a.amusment. she crept through the gap, knowing Shadowpelt was behind her and they came out on the other side. too late. there was another NightClan cat on this side too. his eyes gleamed in the moonlight and claws glinted in the sand. Splashfeather braced herself for the fight as the tom yowled to his companions. (i'll be back ^u^)

Shadowpelt shook the water from his fur grumbling. He lifted his head to see the cat with a grim smile across his face. The other two cats approched. Shadowpelt stood infront of splashfeather slightly and hissed to them. "what do you want?!" (btw im makin a pic for them :D)

The tom flinched. "We want to know what "your" doing on NightClan land!" he hissed back. Splashfeather bristled and stood beside Shadowpelt who was growling at the patrol's sneer. She unsheathed her claws."your land? MoonFalls is for all the clans!" she growled. (yus! can't wait to see it!)

The deputy pushed her way to the front of the patrol and glared at the two with pure hostility in her eyes."get out of here! before i tell your leaders what your doing!" she growled. "MoonFalls is ours now! and if you want it, you'll have to fight for it!."

Shadowpelt replied..."well we didnt know that!" he snapped back angrilly at the cats. "anyways we were just passing by, its none of your buisness. Shadowpelt glared at them with slight fear in his eyes.

Splashfeather glared at the patrol. the deputy still had hostility gleaming in her eyes.then she yowled."you two drive off the tom" "I'll take care of the she-cat" she growled. fear pulsed through Splashfeather as the NightClan deputy lunged for her.quickly she dodged out of the way of her thorn-sharp claws and clawed her way up the wet rocks of the waterfall and scent pebbles spilling onto the NightClan deputy as she struggled to reach her.safely at the top.Splashfeather anxiously skimmed the island. where was Shadowpelt? she thought. fear crept down her spine as she heard the yowls of the two cats. and Shadowpelt's fur being ripped off. they were pushing him f.arther into the wet rock. he was barely ripping their fur as he tried to unbalance the two toms.

She slid down the rockfall to help Shadowpelt. silent as a mouse,she crept over to the battling toms. she was barely a fox-legth away before she lunged at one of the toms. sending him on his back as she raked her hand claws down his belly. He let out a wail of agony and his eyes were glazed with shock. did i really scare him that much? she wonderd. she let go of the tom as he dashed for his own territory. "and don't come back!" she hissed with triumph.

Shadowpelt sighed with relief and brushed his fur against splashfeather's as a friendly 'cat hug'. "thanks" he said gently. He looked up to the black she-cat on the rocks. Shadowpelt lept on the slippery rocks all of a sudden. He looked down...."water" he shivered. Then he lunged towards the black cat pushing both him and her down into the water. "dont...touch her!" He hissed as they splashed into the dead cold water........ :3

Shadowpelt leaped out shaking and mewling. The other cat had taken some damage. Quickly, he ran over to splashfeather and took a few deep breaths. "you alright?" He looked up to the glittering sky filled with stars. He sighed. "i suppose we have to go"

Splashfeather sighed. "i guess your right.." "lets meet somewhere else tomorrow night" she suggested. she watched as the NightClan patrol dashed back to their own territory. "we definalty don't want to run into them again. she flinched at the pain in her hind paw. "ow! i must have cut it on the sharp rocks"

Shadowpelt looked down to her paw worried. "you should go to a medicine cat to get that wound fixed up...would you like some help getting back to your clan?"

"er... do you think night patrols wouldn't notice us? she teased. giving Shadowpelt a playful cuf around the ear.

"i'm fine, really." she flinched at the pain in her hind paw. "besides you need to get back to your own territory before clanmates start wondering where we've gone."

he sighed "your right. well... i will see you tommorow." he nuzzled splashfeather then dashed off behind the trees. Eventually he reached his clan and silently slipped in with a bunch of cats going to sleep.

Splashfeather crept silently into camp. there was a gaurd,but she knew a secret way in. she dashed up the cherry tree that grew beside the hollow and,slid down the branches into the hollow.she crept into her nest and fell into a dream filled sleep.. :3

shadowpelt curled into a ball ready for sleep. He couldnt stop thinking about splashfeather, he shared so many great times with her."hehe, dude your blushing" His friend sparrowfur pointed out. shadowpelt:"w-what?" sparrowfur: "do you like a cat? who is it?" shadowpelt : "n-no one! im not interested in she-cats! go to sleep" He turned his back to him and fell to sleep.

Splashfeather suddenly woke in a spacious,meadowy clearing. there was a cat at the other side. wait.. Shadowpelt?! joy spilled over as she frollicked through they meadow towards the AshClan tom. (lol frollick! e/w/e)

(well in that case....) shadowpelt frolliked as soon as he saw splashfeather. (xD) They met in the middle of the open sunny medow and cherry blossum fell around them as they bounced around happily

(lololol XDD) Splashfeather danced around like an excited kit becoming an apprentice. then she froze. another cat was lurking in the meadow. a big black and ginger tom coverd in scars.. she let out a yelp of surprise as she was pinned to the ground by another of the strange warriors.... D:

Shadowpelt faught at it but it seemed to take no damage. The two love cats mewled in terror. Shadowpelt tried everything he could but no use, the cat just gave him a grim stare. (i is going to sleep naow night night! ^u^)

(night! your going to bed already?! D:) The two were corned now. helplessly mewling like kits. she recondised the two toms from nersurey tales. the big black and ginger tom with sacrs on his face was Scarface.the black tom was Shadowfrost. they were warriors of The Place Of No Stars.. were they go when StarClan rejects them... suddenly Scarface slashed a huge claw down her face and she fell into the hard mud that used to be meadows. blood roaring in her ears everything suddenly got dark....... :3

Suddenly all around her was a bright, greenleaf forest with the scent of prey in every bush. this isn't SplashClan hunting grounds. she thought then a beautiful young, silver she-cat apeared. "it is not you time.." she mewed softly. "y-you mean i d.ied?" horror turned her blood to ice as the starry she-cat nodded.surely she couldn't be k.illed in her own dreams? "the forces of the DarkForest are rising.." she whisperd. "the battle between light and dark will begin.."were the she-cats last words.then she faded into the green forest until all Splashfeather could see were her brilliant amber eyes..

Shadowpelt flicked his eyes open and stretched out with a yawn. "yippee i have hunting today!" he meowed sarcasticly. "pfftt get used to it, the clan needs more food, cats will have to hunt more." his tom friend said in a groany toan. Shadowpelt walked into the blinding sun. "i wonder how splashfeather is" he murmerd under his breath.

Splashfeather woke with a start as she felt a rough shove in her ribs."ow!" she wailed. "relax it's only me" mewed Splashfeather's friend. "anyways your going with the dawn patrol so i sugest getting up!" she finished.Splashfeather heaved herself out of her nest. still dazed by her nightmare.could i really have been ****** in my dream? she wonderd, horror making her pelt *******."are you okay?" her friend mewed anxiously. "fine.. i.. just had a bad dream, that's all.." she mewed hastily, not daring to say anymore, she padded out of the den and into the warm air of newleaf dawn. "not long before greenleaf comes." Splashfeather jumped. it was only Rainfeather. the patrol bundled through the entrance, shaking water from there pelts as water sprayed their fur. Splashfeather grumbled with amu.s.e.me.nt."Shadowpelt wouldn't last a day in SplashClan!" she rememberd just in time to keep her voice down."quite!" Rainfeather hissed."do you want to catch prey or chatter like an apprentice?" "Sorry.." Splashfeather hissed through gritted teeth. just because she was made a warrior half a moon ago doesn't mean they have to keep treating her like a helpless kit! she trecked through the forest to start her hunt when she spotted a bluejay pirched on a high branch. She climed the tree,careful not to scrape her claws on the trunk.she sprang at the bluejay.the bird struggled to free itself,wing flapping wildly.but Splashfeather kept a strong hold of the bird and it a quick and clean nip to the neck. pleased with her catch. she headed back to the rest of the patrol to barry it and go back for more.. :3

the group of cats ventured into the forest. "c'mon sparrowfur, will you come hunt with me around south?". "ye ye, lets go" sparrowfur grumbled. They dashed of into the thick greenery. "so...where were you yesturday?" the tom asked curiously. "i wasnt tierd....so i just patrolled a little by myself." Shadowpelt meowed unsurelly. "shh,sh!....i saw something" He announced quietly to his friend. Shadowpelt whent into a pounce position, his tail flicking side to side.....

Splashfeather was about to pounce on yet another mouse when her friend,Echostream erupted from the undergrowth. Splashfeather let out a yowl of frusturation as the squirrel darted up the tree at Echostream's thoughtless aproach.Splashfeather glared at her,a hint of a.m.u.s.e.m.e.n.t sparkling in her forest green eyes."i would of caught that squirrel if it wasn't for you bursting out of that bush like a mouse-brain!" she hissed.Echostream ignored her comment."so who's the lucky tom?" she mewed.Splashfeather froze."er... w-what are you talking about?" she stammerd.Echostream rolled her eyes."you were 'blushing' in your sleep and murmering 'someones' name."Splashfeather stiffend."i..er... l-like i said. i have no idea what your talking about!"she dashed through the woods before Echostream could reply....:3

Shadowpelt watched the bushes leaves russle, but nothing came out. "why is it so hard to catch prey here?!" he complained. Shadowpelt couldnt wait till dusk. literally. "im going to hunt over in another area.....see you round sparrowfur." "of to see your secret she-cat?" his friend snickered at the joke. "ha!....ha haaar nooo no. i dont like she cats ok? i get the joke..." quickly he darted off but what sparrowfur didnt know was that his joke was real. :3

Splashfeather headed for MoonFalls now.her fur starting to lie flat again.she let out a sigh of releif as she spotted Shadowpelt on the island."how are you?" she purred and licked his ear.

"not bad, not bad" he replied. Shadowpelt gave her a 'cat hug'. "so, how was your day? anything interesting happen?" he gave her a comforting smile.

Splashfeather thought back to her encounter with the StarClan warrior.Splashfeather shook it off and decided not to tell Shadowpelt that."er... nothing much.. but echostream won't leave me alone..she thinks i like a tom in 'SplashClan'" she murmerd...:3

"heh theres always that one annoying cat. My friend wont stop with me either!" he chuckled. Shadowpelt lay down and looked up at the stars. "tonight looks wonderful...a little like you..." he said with a smile.

Splashfeather's pelt tured hot."t-thanks.."she nuzzled Shadowpelt.she gazed up at the clear halfmoon.then sighed."the medicine cats will be ariving here soon""lets meet at the cherry tree in my territory."she suggested "the blossoms will desciuse our scent"

(oki i back for while)Splashfeather slitherd through the undergrowth after him. when they reached the cherry tree,Splashfeather climed up to an arched branch that looked strong enough to hold a hole patrol on it."c-mone!" she yowled down to Shadowpelt.he scamperd up the tree after her and they sat togther,pirched on the branch,watching the sun set into a lake of fire..... :3

Shadowpelt watched the falling disk of light slide out of view. The pinky red sky followed as it changed to an inky dark blue. Shadowfur examined the small branches around him filled with scent and colour. The smells were wonderful. Then he heard something. "i-i think i heard some leaves russle.....stay down" he nestled next to splashfeather.

Splashfeather obeyed.she peared down through the branches of the cherry tree and saw two feline shapes running in the moonlight.she recondized them at once.Echostream and Mosswhisker."i guess i'm not the only one with a secret." she murmerd to Shadowpelt'

"hm, your right" he whispered back. Shadowpelt let out a yawn. "I thought we were the only ones....do you know them?" he asked curiously.

"The light grey she-cat is Echostream, and the brown tom is Mosspelt."she mewed "their both warriors of SplashClan." she finished.she stared down at them.bounding through the moonlit clearing like there wasn't a care in the world.envying her friend's close friendship with Mosspelt."i wish we could be that free" she mewed,pressing close to Shadowpelt as a cold breeze ruffled her fur.......

Shadowpelt sighed and snuggled agaisnt splashfeather. "well, me to.....but i would hate to be caught. they sure arn't being very careful there" he meowed in a calm way. "We cant leave with them seeing us, we should keep an eye on them..."

Splashfeather nodded.she watched them chase eachother as they raced across the moonlit forest,she could hear Echostream's yowl of pleasure as Mosspelt bowled her over and started to play-fight.Splashfeather sneezed as a cherryblossom landed on her nose.Shadow pelt let out a 'mrrow' of laughter as she flicked it off.

As shadowpelt snickerd at splashfeather he lost his balance on the branch and toppled to the side clinging on by his claws as he slowly sunk down the branch scratching it on the way. He was dangling off the branch struggling to get back up bedore they spotted him. but to late, he lots grip and collapsed into a bush. The two cats stopped thier play and looked over. Shadowpelt popped his head out of the bush making eye contact. "greeaat" he grumbled. He quickly staggerd over to the cats who looked paralised with shock. "i was only gathering....blossum. its orderd for me." He could hear a quiet chuckle from the tree. (have fun at camp! :D)

Splash was fighting the urge to laugh like crazy at Shadowpelt. sitting in a bush making stupid exuses!then she caught Shadowpelt's eye and she winked at him.she had an idea.he got the message.quick as lightning she slid down the tree on the opisiet side of the three cats.then she made it look like she was hunting.she pretended to look like she was surprised to see the AshClan warrior on SplashClan land,and pounced lightly on his shoulders with sheathed claws.

"intruder!" she hissed to her clanmates. "i'll drive him out!" she yowled.quickly, she started batting Shadowpelt with her paws,pretending to be fighting him off.He let out a wail of agony.Splashfeather could it was fake though. she started lighting pushing him towards the lake.his wails and hissing fading as they got f.arther and f.arther away from the two cats.....:3

When they were out of the cats view and scent shadowpelt let out a sigh of relief. "nice plan!better then my gathering blossom." he joked. "im glad we got away, that was close" He gave her a 'cat hug' "what now?" he mewed......^u^

"hmmm.." Splashfeather thought. "how about we see if the medicine cats are done at MoonFalls?" she suggested.Shadowpelt nodded nervously as they padded on towards the steppingstones."afraid you'll fall in?" she taunted. Shadowpelt's fur fluffed up as a fish jumped out of the water almost slapping him in the face. quick as lightning,Splashfeather sprang in the air and caught the flying fish between her jaws and k.illed it with a swift bite to the neck."n-no! of corse not!" Shadowpelt mewed. "i-i-i was just protecting you..." he mumbled.. :3

Shadowpelt shiverd as he padded on the slippery steppingstones, the water squelching beneath his paws."blegh!" he meowed at the water. Then, being clumsy shadowpelt lost his grip on a stepping stone and slid off into the merky waters. "mewww!" he cried out as he scrambled back on. He shook the water off vigerously. Then shadowpelt just carried on,embarresed......xD

(omg i laughed so hard when i read that! xD) Splashfeather reached land.silently,she crept forward,careful not to make any sound as if stalking a mouse..she peered over the edge of the wet rock. ... no one.."coast is clear" she yowled over her shoulder.she blinked at Shadowpelt as he scamperd up the bank.His belly fur was soaked and his pelt felt hot with embarassment."what happend to you?"she purred amusingly. fighting the urge to burst out in laughter.......xD

(xD) "urr, i was trying to... catch a fishhh......yeah" he muttered. When he got to the banks he shook his fur some more trying to get more water off. "even though, i dont like fish...." he then said unsurely. He expected her to crack up any second. "y'know.....thats just how i roll." he teased playfully as he played with her ear.............x3

Splashfeather purred as Shadowpelt played with her ear.he was standing on his hind legs trying to reach a firefly.then she dived underneath him and unbalanced him by his hind legs. Shadowpelt let out a "yelp!" of surprise as he was nocked to the ground."heyy! i wasn't ready!"he mewed."sorry but i thought AshClan 'warriors' knew to always be 'on the lookout'."she mewed inosently."try it on me!" she flicked her tail expectantly........ :3

shadowpelt grumbled in a playful way....He leaped onto splashfeather lightly and snickerd but soon to find he was pushed off. "heh, try catch me now!" he meowed as he playfully jumped from side to side, :D

Splashfeather fixed her gaze on Shadowpelt's jumping movements. recording his every move.. then she saw her chance. she new what side he would jump to and- "what are you waiting for" Shadowpelts playful yowl brought her back to her sences. "nothing!-just this!" she yowled as she bowled him over. purring he brushed his muzzel with hers. "you'll make a great kit-mother one day.." he purred. Splashfeather stared into his warm,orange gaze.and purred "yes, and you'll be too busy playing with the kits to notice what clan your in!" Shadowpelt stiffend. anguish burning in his gaze. she had meant it as a joke!"i'd leave my clan to have kits with you.."he murmerd......

He rose to his paws. There was a short aquard silence for a moment. Then Shadowpelt sighed "why does being a warrior cat have to be so complex?" he said as a non-answer question. He glanced back at splashfeather. "its been a long night.....i think i should head back to my clan....." He said calmly. He exhaled a deep breath, and then whent over to give splashfeather a 'cat hug'

Splashfeather pressed close to him."see you tomorrow" she murmerd as he padded to his own territory.when she reached the camp.she climbed into her nest and curled up into a tiny ball, ready for dreams to come ov-"i knew it!" Echostream's mew took her by surprise.she turned to meet her gaze confidently."what? can't a cat get some sleep around here?" Echostream egnored her."you've been out with that tom again!" she hissed. "uh.. no, i haven't! i don't know what your even talking about!" she screached. "now let me sleep! i'm on the dawn patrol and i want to go back to my dream!" she lied.the dawn patrol was true though. she closed her eyes ignoring Echostreams protests,and slipped away into sleep.....

Shadowpelt sneaked into the camp. treading carefully on his paws he meandered around twigs and sticks, careful not to make a sound. As he reached the nest he saw sparrowfur. *thinking- hes onto me, i cant let him notice me.* Shadowpelt padded slowly past his friend but to only find he was awake....
sf: "up again? what are you doing?"
sp: "o-oh hi! urrr"
sf: "where were you?"
sp: " i only just got up, i whent to...get a drink, geez does it matter to you?"
sf: "have you turned into a night owl now?"
Shadowpelt hissed at him as he curled up away from him to sleep.
sf: "chill!" he said in a confused and surprised way......

Splashfeather moaned as yet another morning waking up to Echostream jabbing her in the ribs."w..what?" she grogily slipped out of her nest."you'r on dawn patrol,remember? or so you said."there was a hint of a sneer in her mew that made Splashfeather's fur turn hot."uh.. yeah i'm comming.."she padded out into the clearing. the sound of the raindrops falling on her ears making strange,plopping noises.although it was only dawn,the air was humid with the coming storm.she padded over to Sunsplash as she let out an impatient moan. "coming!" she hurried after them as they trecked through the wet forest....

Shadowpelt lay cozy in his tucked position. He got to lie in this morning as he had no dutys. Then, breaking his comfort, a paw prodded his face roughly. Shadowpelt looked up to find an unsetteling grin. Dusktooth, an arrogant, cruel warrior looking for a fight. "what do you waaaant? go away!" shadowpelt yowled at him. "iv heard rumers about you....." darktooth said camly. "where do you go at night? im interested." his voice was stiff. shadowpelt looked up and gave him a cold look. "shut up, you know clan rumers are never true." Shadowpelt said quietly. "get up!" the warrior meowed getting impatiant.......

"fine, fine...whats it to you?" shadowpelt said grumpily. "i heard you whent go away at night! is it true?" darktooth meowed miacheviously. shadowpelt looked over to sparrorfur, anger burning in his eyes. "well, yes, sometimes i get up to get a drink.".... "liar!" darktooth yowled. He slashed his claws at shadowpelt but luckily he escaped just in time and scamperd into the forest......:3

Splashfeather had her gaze locked on a squirrel nibbling on a beechnut just tail-legths away.suddenly a blackish-gray smudge dashed through the undergrowth."mouse-dung!" she hissed and chased after her 'prey s.carer'. she sprang with out streched claws at the cat.The tom let out a yowl of surprise"get off me Darktooth!" he hissed. Splashfeather quickly sheathed her claws as she realized who it was."S-Shadowpelt?" she hissed in disbeleive."Splashfeather! am i glad to see yo-"his yowl was cut off as she cuffed a paw around his muzzle."quite!"she hissed."smor eeph" his mew was muffled by fur. she led him to a shelterd tree and they climbed to a strong,sturdy branch.once Splashfeather was sure noone was near she whipped her head around to face Shadowpelt."what are you doing here?" she mewed half hororfied half glad."D-Darktooth tried to attack me! so i was running through the forest not knowing if he was following me or not so.. i guess i didn't notice i'd crossed the border.." he finished....

He stared into splashfeathers eyes. "hes a....fierce cat." shadowpelt scanned the area. "i guess he didnt follow me" he meowed in relief. "you doing some hunting?" he asked curiously.

"uhh.. i was.." she mewed flicking her ears at Shadowpelt. "oh! s-sorry! i didn't know were i was i was just blindly running i guess."he mewed apolajectly. "it's fine," she sighed."there are a hole lot more prey fatter than that one."she pointed with her tail were the juicy squirrel had been.... :3

shadowpelt nodded. "do you want some help? dont worry it will be for your clan, i just have no duties until night when im on patroll, so i best spend my time with you now!" he said in a joyfull way.

"umm..."Splashfeather hesitated."okay, but we have to stick together."she mewed anxiously."oh you know i will."Shadowpelt purred in her ear.she returned the favor with a lick on his ear.Splashfeather casted out her scences and found a blackbird digging for worms."follow me" she whisperd.once the scent was too strong to bare, sure enough,there was a blackbird digging for worms.doing the hunter's crouch,she slowly began to creep up on the bird.then she pounced.the bird let out an alarm call,flapping it's wings wildly under her grasp.but Splashfeather wasn't going to lose a perfectly good peice of prey like this.once the bird finally settled down,she gave it a swift bite to the neck and it lay limp in her jaws.pleased with her catch,she padded deeper intomthe forest to barry it..... :3

Shadowpelt grinned at the victory. "well done" he mewed cheerfully. Shadowpelt pricked his ears at the sound of quick padding on the ground and rustling bushes. he swiftly turned his head to spot a rabbit scampering off behind him. "ill be back in a sec!" he stuttered as he ran towards the prey quietly. They approched a river very close by and the rabbit managed to escape across the river on a few tiny stones. Shadowpelt yowled and cursed at himself.... "you dam river!" he mewed. "i-ill just tell splashfeather i lost it in the bushes....." he sighed and paced back to splashfeather ^u^

Splashfeather had been using her super-sences to spy on Shadowpelt. he had cursed himself after a rabbit crossed the stream.Shadowpelt padded out of the undergrowth.epty pawed, he mewed feebly."it.. ran off.." he mutterd... ^u^

he stared up at splashfeather....then let out a laugh of joy. "heh! what am i kidding." he chuckled. "ya know i hate water" he said still happy.

Splashfeather gave Shadowpelt a playful cuff around the ear."oh sure,like rabbits can jump streams!"she purred."b-but it did!" Shadowpelt protested.there playful arument was cut off as Splashfeather heard an aproaching cat."hide!quick!" she hissed at Shadowpelt.He dove for the cover of a holly bush making berries fall everywhere...

Raintail emerged from the undergrowth with a plump squirrel in his jaws."err.. nice catch!.."Splashfeather mewed with her back to the holly bush."thanks!"Raintail's mew of pride was muffled by squirrel fur."wanna hunt together?"he meowed."umm.. actraully i'm doing some hunting alone so no thanks."she mewed hastily.Raintail had been mooning over her for half a moon now.he doesn't know what i do at night... she thought....

Raintail looked crest fallen but he didn't argue. instead he just padded in the direction of the lake and mewed over his shoulder."well.. if you need me i'll be at the lake.."Splashfeather watched him leave until he was out of sight and scent."okay,you can come out now."she whisperd to Shadowpelt.....

shadowpelt flattend his ears and looked in the direction the tom whent. He leaped out of the bushes. "so, ur...whos that?" he asked with a slightly worried tone in his voice.

"oh,... just Raintail... he likes me.."she admitted."but i don't like him back!"she added hastily.. eager to change the subject she mewed to Shadowpelt."c-mone i know a really good place to hunt!"she called over her shoulder as she padded in the direction of the meadow..... :3

"hm" shadowpelt replied quickly. He followed shortly behind and stayed low out of any cats view. "so...where is this place?" shadowpelt meowed curiously

"it's down by this beautiful little stream"Splashfeather mewed."it's crystal clear!"she mewed in an exited sqeak.......

"heh, nice" shadowpelt mewed in slight sarcasm. when they arrived the stream did look wonderful. He tapped his paw on the freshening water and watched it trickle down. Shadowpelt could actually see the fish swimming within

Splashfeather pushed Shadowpelt back with a paw."if you can see them they can see you!"she hissed softly."now watch how the 'pros'do it."She waited until a silver fish jumped out of the water.at the same instant she reacted quickly and fastend her claws into it's slippery flesh.dropping it on the ground beside the streambed,then gave it a swift bite to the neck...... :3

Shadowpelt rolled his eyes jokily then skipped over to see the well caught fish. "good catch!" he meowed. "i wanna try" he said impatiantly. Shadowpelt fixed his eyes on a fish. it leaped into the air and he blindlessly pounced straight at it into the water. Quickly he scrambled onto the banks with a yowl. "i have....alot to learn" he mewed panting

Splashfeather stiffled a mrrrow but said nothing.instead she sat neatly on the streambed."watch 'carefully'"she mewed.a fish jumped out and she hooked with her claws;careful not to go too far over the edge.then gave it the kiling blow to the neck and dropped it next to her other catch."now try."she mewed gesturing with her tail....

Shadowpelt lay on the edge of the bank. A small fish leaped high out of the hurrent and he lunged his claws at it. Shadowpelt nipped its neck, the clawing seemed to do it. "how did i do?" he mewed happily flicking his tail back and forth.

Splashfeather twitched her ears happily."hmm.. pretty good for your first try..."she mewed thoughtfully."next time try hooking the fish with a claw,instead of snapping your jaws at it.that way you can avoid falling in." "watch again" Splashfeather sat patiently waiting for the fish.just then a silver one leaped out of the water.Splashfeather hooked it with a claw but the fish was too heavy to pull in.instead the fish pulled her into the current bellow."eep! uhh.. i slipped?.."she mewed climbing back onto the bank.
