It's not Nintendo to blame(Nintendo didn't own Flipnote Hatena),neither the Hatena co. to blame either,because why Hatena shut down the site and the app is ,because Hatena ran out of money and,so 3DS users are able to join Hatena. @People who blame Nintendo for the application and the site shut down

Hatena was a great place till they had to shut it down and now on the new Hatena you have to pay a monthly fee which is pretty dumb. :P

I miss Hatena. Thanks to the app, I went from drawing horrible stick figures to drawing and animating for famous creators in simply 5 months. I consider myself lucky to have been there for only that long, and gotten faves by at leasst 5 favorite creators, and acheiving 141 fans.
...My Friend list is full of my Hatenian friends, and some famous creators, including Squirt, who became my friends thanks to ACNL. xD

the misinformation coming from the authors most of these commemts is staggering in amount. let me set this straight: hatena as an internet service isn't completely gone. i don't recommend hatena haiku out of personal extended experience, but that's just me. as for the shut down of flipnote hatena for the dsi, it wasn't entirely hatena's decision. nintendo and hatena agreed to shut it down as it was getting cumbersome to run, what with the enormous servers to host all the data of millions of flipnotes. nintendo programmed flipnote studio for the dsi themselves; hatena only hosted the internet sevice. nintendo is not partnering with hatena for the fs3D world service; this is nintendo alone. IMPORTANT!!!!: the sevice is FREE TO USE during certain times of the day every day!! please stop spreading false rumors because you think things that aren't true.

This species often hibernates during the times between July and early August but no one knows when they wake up from their slumber.

i heard sometimes to u dont have to pay a fee if your flipnotes are good and popular. which basiclly means you have to earn not paying. also, this could also be a way of making more people buy their products. have you been on a wii lately? there shut down everybody votes channel news and forecast channel,shop channel, check me out channel, and the wii message board. probably cuz they want you to buy the wii u.

Heres what i dont get, i understand the new hantena is going to be better then the old, but for real, i only bought my dsi for flipnotes and flipnotes only. other kids did too! they should have kept it open for people who cant aford the new one. And when they said "It costs to keep the site up and running" YOUR FRIKEN MILLIONAIRS! YOU CAN KEEP IT UP FOR FREE AND LEAVE THE OLD ONE UP FOR PEOPLE WHO CANT AFFORD THE NEW ONE!
