The trainer that abandoned Charnander was called Damion he was bragging about it at the pokemon center in that episode. Cool pic.

I always thought that charmander's flame was like a Chimchar's... Meaning that it only goes out when its sleeping.

They say he'll die if the flame goes out. But in the charizific valley ep. chaizard get thrown in the water out front flame and all, and he is still alive. So it is just a lie i guess that he'll die if it ges out. There are lots of lies in the anime.
