I know how you feel.
I trace rarely (I only did it once so far for a Paper Mario pic). I only do it when I can't picture something right.

it gets lame seeing the saaaaame 4 different wind waker link traces/ mylil pony/ Mario etc drawings over and over, there have been a few however who traced said original drawings and painted it/added a 3D effect which came out sooo well, those I have no beef with. I do wish people did more original stuff, looking for good original drawings here is like looking for a needle in a haystack, and it is a bit disheartening seeing some generic cartoon that was traced mediocrely, get more attention than something I spent over 4 hours drawing. I would very much like the option to follow other users here, so I can see what awesome things they make on the spot instead of randomly running into said artist in the gallery days later.

Im with ya 100 percent! If you've noticed, I have traced 2 picutes, but those pictures were taken by me! So would you call that tracing? I mean, it is but you aren't copying someone else's hard work, right? My OC painting has 2 likes and I put work into it hoping for a lot of likes and comments to tell me what others think, but I got almost nothing for that painting! :( Either way, nice painting! :D

I agree taking credit for a painting you traced is normally not a good thing. I have not traced anything yet, but if I do, I will make sure to make it very clear it is traced.

I completely agree. I fill my gallery with original concept art for my own T.V show and some tracings manage to get more silver stars than me. It's just not original, and if you do decide to trace, at least give some credit to someone. I love your stuff BTW.

i agree with the part about credit, because, taking all the credit for a drawing you traced is bad. my traceings don't have credits because, i either took the pic. myself, or i found the pic. off google and i don't know who to give credit to. but people can trace, in my opinion
