But he doesn't have a name! And for convenience, what is is his species? So many animals (or furries for that matter) can have that design like dogs, cats, foxes, wolves, predatory cats, whales, etc.

He looks kinda short, and my foxes average about 5'6'' ish. There can be a drastic size variation, it's just a story.

Or... I dunno... Ash? Relates to fire, and you have that smoky look about you with the gray spots and whatnot. I did that with my foxes: Winter's Frost, a Forest Glade, and Quantum Physik. ^_^

You can alter his size as much as you like. And if he's running he tends to go on all fours, Animal style

My foxes stand 1.68 meters, if my math is right.
I cannot visualize a meter. It's a confusing and abstract concept. So I have no idea whether that's right. Is that the typical height of a human teen/adult?
