( I'm sorry to see you go! ) Nine looked at him blankley, feeling weak and not noticing the blood pooling at her feet. " Well . . . To put it simply . . . I'm not fine, Five. You should be dead. All of you should be dead. The night I left, there was a lock down. I couldn't get in or out of my room. It lasted for two hours while I heard scre.ams coming through the vents. When the lock down the friendly scientists came over to my room. They said that the other dcientists had realeased a chemical bomb into the base and that they had to lock all of the rooms to keep the toxins from spreading. Then they said that I should see something. I followed them down to the morgue. I saw your bodys. You were all pale. Blood was dripping from everyone's eye's. Each one of you were dead. I instantly ran out of the base. I was crying. I couldn't handle it. So I ran. Thats they started hunting me down. I ran for a months. Then . . . Well . . . I found some new friends. Their're at the house . . . " Through this entire commentary, Nine's eye were glazed over, tears in them. She started to fall asleep but shook her head, determined to stay awake and alive. Blood was dripping from her arm and side like a stream. The shifter was losing blood quickly.

The car came to a slow stop and Two looked back and said softly "We're here..." Five just watched her cry, he didn't know how confort her... everything was just so- A goat boy swung open the door and peered at them. He asked timidly "Sand, Nine?" He walked over to get a better look, when he got a better look at them he shouted saying "Hey they're back!" The goat boy clopped over to the car and opened the back door. "Nine!?! Holy cheese your hurt!" The goat boy started to panic "Should I take that out? *points to metal peice in Nines' side* I'll get some bandages *starts for house but comes back* no wait do want me to carry you in? Should I bring the stuff here? Ahh that's alot of blood!" Felm swayed from foot to foot trying to figure out what he should do. Finally he picked her up and took her to the house yelling "Ern we need you to shot that purple fire stuff!" Five smilled thinking 'well at least she does have someone' He turned to Six and asked "Would you like me to carry you in?" Two looked back and said "Oh I'd love to be carried in! Thank you Five." Five frown and said "That's Ones' job." One purked up and gave him a glare. Two smiled and asked "Would you my dear?" Five snickered imagining what those two had been doing while they were captured.

Six gave Nine a horrified glance. "Nine...." She said trailing off. Suddenly a satyr came trotting over asking too many questions at once. All of this was a lot to take in...At five's question she forced a smile. "My legs aren't what's broken." She said with a slight chuckle. Carefully she slid out of the car and paused waiting for everyone to get out of the car.

"Then allow me to please excort you to the house." Said Five waving his hand and bowing low to the ground. Then standing up staight he held out his arm for Six to take. Felm had taken Nine in and set her in the chair next to Claude who was still on the couch. He seemed better but was still out cold. Felm then stood up and went running to some droars, pulling out some bandages he came back to examine the wound. His face paled at the sight. "Tha- that's alot of blood..." he said sickly (So if Toadies is gone then who'll be there for sand? Toadies we need you come rp just a little longer)

Nine smiled weakly at Felm as he carried her along. " Your really bad at this ," she said sarcasticly and looked back, watching as they all hopped out of the vehicle one by one. " Hey ," the teen asked, co.cking her head to one side as Felm layed her down carefully on one of the cushy soffas. " Where's Sand? " It was a good question for the lioness was nowhere to be seen. " Oh and . . . how is Claude doing? " Nine wanted so badly to close her eye, but resisted and tried pulling the metal debree out. The shifter growled, her ear's going back. She tried again. There was even more pain now. The girl stopped, her jaw clenched. She needed to pull it out before it festered or led to an infection. Plus the loss of blood was becoming dangerouse, and what of the bullet in her arm? Nine let out a breath, igsauhsted.

( Ex that. She was sat down on a chair and had asked " Oh . . . and how are you Claude? " )

Felm looked outside then shrugged "She's some where. K I'm going to pull this on the count of nine." Nine gave him a glare that said well aren't you clever (sarcasim) "One, two, three!" *Felm pulls* The metal comes out and blood sprays alittle. "Ahh it got on me!" Felm screatched "Oh ya cut, bandage right-" "Give me that!" yelled Two snatching the bandages from Felm. "Go find the lion girl- "You mean Sand." -yes Sand what ever." *Felm leaves to look for Sand* Two kneels down and starts aplying the bandages. "So uh Nine... you saw us dead? On the ground gased right... mmm you must've mistaken two other gassed scientists for me and One." Nine co.ckered her head at him as if asking then were where you too? Two started blushing, but he didn't say anything he knoted the bandage then took some twesers from his belt.

Nine just looked at Two for a moment then shifted her weight to make it easier for him to pull out the bullet in her arm. " I could have sworn it was you on the right ," the expieriment joked, sarcasm in her voice. The teen watched as her comrad took out tweasers from his belt and started to pull out the bullet. She gritted her teeth, holding back a whine. The girl had been shot many a time, but the pain never became any more tolerable. Two plucked out the metal projectile quickly and poured disinfectent onto the wolf girl's wound, which stung exceedingly. Finaly he bandaged the injury tightly, making sure that it would hold. " Thanks doc ," Nine said and stood up abruptly, but fell back into the chair. The shifter tried once more and this time his legs held her weight if shakily. Nine started to walk to one of the second story rooms, but before leaving she turned to the others, nervouse. The teen had to ask. " Where is Eleven? "

Six smiled softly at Five and took his hand gently. "Alright my knight in shining armor." She said with a flirty bat of the eyelashes. Claude heard a familiar voice but simply rolled over and mumbled something about cream puffs.

(Claude is so lazy lol) Claude shifted slightly when Erin touched him, but didn't wake up. The color had returned to his face by now, and his wounds were all taken care of. (He's a heavy sleeper)

Five took Six to the side of the building and spun her around to face him. She looked at him questioningly. Five paused for a moment looking deeply into her eyes. He then bent forward and kissed her on the lips. Something he had been wanting to do for along time, just never being able to find the curage. A knock came from the window and they jumped. Five looked into the window to see Two giveing him a thumbs up. Five blushed, then roled his eyes and moved the flower pot to where it covered Twos' veiw. He looked at Six who was also blushing. "Sorry I-I've been wanting to do that for awhile, I didn't mean to embarass you or anything... I-I love you Six... I wanna be with for what ever time we have left..." A muffed Twos' voice came from the window "Awww how sweet, you know these windows aren't sound- Owww One why did you hit my- Hey aww the shows just getting good-" "Come on creeper!" came Ones' muffled voice. Fives' face turned redder but he didn't care, they could all watch for all he care, it wouldn't matter as long as he was with Six.
*Then when One pulls Two away he bandages Nine, that's when she asks what happened to Eleven*
Two looked down at the ground now gloomy. "Nine... The scientists bombed the base as soon as the left... Eleven... we think... was still in the recover bay..."

( So, is Two hinting that Eleven is dead or is he in the recovery bay now? )

(no he's saying that eleven was in thesrecovery bay when the base was bombed)

( Okay. Thanks! ) Nine stared at Two dumbly for a moment, unable to comprehend what he was saying. She nodded, tears starting to form, and walked up the stairs painstakingly slow. Voices came from below, but they were only muffled noises to her. The shifter made her way into one of the spare rooms and closed the quietly. The teen stood infront of the entrance as tears began to run down her bloody and mingled with blood that made them turn a bloody red as they fell onto the hard floor, still gripping the door handle. She suddenly broke out into heart renching sobs and melted to the ground, desimated. As she despaired, the expieriment started to remember the pleasant times they had spent together in silence as they enjoyed eachother's company, and nightly excursions they had taken together under the moon, and the time wgen Eleven had told her for the first time how deeply he loved the girl. Nine reached for her gun and took hold of it. She started to raise it up to her skull. " I can't do it without him . . . I can't . . . "

Six felt pure bliss as Five's lips met her own, it made her feel more alive then she had in months...maybe ever... She pulled him closer to her. Not really caring that her arm hurt as she did so. She looked up into his incredible eyes, "Five you are much more important to me than my own pride. Who cares what they say...I love you...and that's all that matters." She said, although her voice became only a murmur as she was hypnotized by his eyes. She leaned forward and once again felt that weightless feeling as she kissed him. As if everything was perfect...Her heart fluttered as if it could give her wings and fly. Her tail curled up slightly to show her excitement of being with him.

Suddenly red eyes widened as an old power of her's began to resurface, her ability to sense auras. Her ears perked up her tail lashed as she began to look around frantically. "Five! Nine...she needs us." She said already beginning to turn the corner. "Nine! NINE!" She screamed. A gun was aimed at the experiments head, the safety was switch off. Six felt a sick feeling in her stomach, and sprinted towards her old friend. "Nine!" She called. Nine had tear streaming down her face and was shaking from the force of her sobs. With cat like agility Six snatched the gun and threw it away. The girl was over taken by Nine' pain and began to sob too. With shaky arms she hugged Nine tightly. What would it be like to lose Five? Six sobbed harder. That was a fate worse than death...Her heart reached out the experiment. They had all been through so much...why did this have to happen as well?

Suddenly, faster then lighting, the small hand gun was nocked out of Nine's hand and slim arms rapped around her, sobs coming from her rescuer whom she could tell was Six by her unmistakable scent. The teen bowed her head, gritting her sharp teeth in despair. She didn't understand what to do now. She didn't understand how to say anything. She didn't understand how to feel anything but sorrow. " Six . . . ," the shifter sobbed, a puppet of her despair. " why didn't you just let me die? I don't understand why Eleven had to die but I had to go on living . . . I don't understand . . . I don't understand . . . "

Five was still in the moment when all ah sudden Six said Nine needed them. She ran off leaveing Five confused, he shook his head and ran after her calling out "What is it? Is Nine okay?" Five made up the stairs to the seen of Nines' suic.ide atempt. Six and Nine were both huging and sobing together. Nine kept asking why he had to die and how she didn't understand. Five listened siently, he walked over to the gun and picked up. He put the saftey on and shoved it into his belt then walked over to the bed. He sat down next to them and put his arm around Nine. "Sis we don't know if he is de.ad... that was just the last place we had seen him... it could be were he's like us. You know how you thought we were de.ad, he could still be out there... locked up some where, or he could be hiding out there like you were... we just gotta find him okay... We'll find him, and then we'll all be one big happy family! The scientists will all be gone, and we won't have to hide anymore, we'll all live happy lives. You'll see, we'll find him." Five squeezed her arm reasuringly, then looked at Six saying with his eyes "I need back up, I'm outta things to say."
Felm was takeing a stroll outside, the house was too crowded and noisey. He kicked a can sending it flying into a tree. It hit the tree and fell to the ground. Felm walked over to it and sat down leaning against the tree. He picked the can up looked left and right to make sure no one was looking, and took a bight outta it. (Sand is in the tree XD)
Two walked by One feeling realy glum he hated to tell Nine the bad news it made him feel horrible, she looked so distraut, fact she was distraut, Five and Six were conforting her right now. Two looked at One trying to get some of the glum out, but she looked glum too! "One? You okay, you look shaken?"

(I have an idea. Claude's species when injured they fall asleep, although there subconcious is still ready to defend them. So since Claude was injured he is simply sleeping until it healed. Which is much more quickly than a normal animal or human.)
Claude groaned and finally opened his eyes. "Jeez Sand can't any guy get some sleep around here?" He glanced around. "Where's Erin?' He asked perking his ears. He stretched and looked around the comfy home. Then the shifter heard footsteps. "Hey Erin I-" An airhorn assaulted his eardrums, "Wake up Cla-oh..." Erin said trailing she realized he was awake. Claude rubbed his sore ears for a second and then gave Erin a glare of mock anger, although he quickly lost the glare and started laughing. With a whip of his tail he got up and walked over to her. "How long was I out?" He asked.

Felm looked at Sand in surprise then at the can. "Ahhh! Were did you come- uh... this I... it was like this uhmm ya I uh..." Felm put his head down and mummbled "I eat weird stuff when I get frustrated and nervous... ya I know go ahead laugh it up... I'm part goat... what do expect a centar?..." A yell came from the house.

( Sorry for being away! I was at a zoo all day ) Nine looked up at Five, her eye lighting up. She nodded, covering her good eye with a hand. " I-I . . . I'm sorry ," the shifter said quietly and lowered her hand gloved hand to her waist. " I panicked. I thought of him dead just . . . " The girl paused. " You say he could be alive . . . I'll hold on to that . . . I haveto. " With that Nine embraced both Six and Five, communicating her thanks through it. " Without you guys, I would be dead. " Her voice cracked at the end, the expieriment trying to hold back her emotions, then pulled back. She smiled at the, her tears drying, and walked down the stairs, looking for Sand through her keen scenting abilitys. One Nine found her, she also gave her a hug. These people, these amazing people, were her family, and that would never change.

(Did you have fun at the zoo?^-^ I love going to the zoo, I aways bring a sketch pad and draw all the animals^-^) Five smiled at Nine and said "We will always be there for you sis, we're family." Nine walked out and down stairs, leaving Five and Six in the room alone. Five looked at Six and said "If you ever leave me like that I'll never beable to live threw it."

Nine smiled warmly at the Shifter's words. " Sand ," she said through clenched teeth. " Your crushing me. " The lioness let go and the teen took in a breath, greatful for the fresh air. She stood for a moment, frowning and taking in different scents. The girl frowned. The air didn't smell right. Something was riding on the air curents. A fume of somesort. Nine coughed hard, then coughed again, and couldn't stop. Soon she was having a fit. Sand started to do the same. The birds went silent as the wind blew its cool hand over the grass. What was going on? ( feel free to decide what happens next everyone )

Six embraced five in a loving hug, "I would never leave you." She said firmly. His touch making her feel all warm and bubbly inside. She finally let go and looked at five...she realized it was getting harder to breath. "Five....are you feeling...tired all of the sudden?" She said sleepily. The cat girl stepped closer to him...and then she fell into his arms. "I love you..." She whispered. They both slid to the floor, wrapped in each others arms. A man by the name of Mister Sullivan smiled as he climbed out of his Van. His company had heard word of these...half animal freaks. Thoughts of profits and fame filled his mind...if he could learn these "things" secrets, he could probably sell enhancements to people. If people heard of his scientific revolution, people would love him! He stroked his think black hair and then began to call in soldiers to investigate the inside of the house. Hopefully the poisonous gas had knocked the shifters out, but if necessary he was willing to use force. He would get what he wanted! With his fame and fortune he could rule this world! He could do anything! It didn't matter who was killed in the process...He would rise to power...and he would begin a new era of human-animal hybrids!

Five woke to find himself... in another jail cell. Five jumped up and looked around frantically. "Six!?!" he yelled feeling terrified and alone again. He looked around the the cell again and stopped at a form sleping on a identical vote like his own. It was Six! But wait the scientists would never put them in the same cell. They like to torture their lab rats, make Them go insaine from depression and loneliness. But yet they were in the same cell... This had to be a trick of some kind. Five got up slowly and walked grouch edge down over to her. He was stopped half way by a chain on his leg. Five frown and started tugging at it, his claws scratched harmlessly off the metal. "Be lucky he put you two in turkey same cell little man. " came a deep Africain voice. Five looked over to see where the voice had come from. It came from a guard at their cell door, how had he not noticed him before? "Who who is he? " The guard laughed a booming sound. He then said "The big man, the hunter, the bussness man, he has many names, but I'll let him do the introductions. " Five stared at the guard not sure if he should be afraid or annoyed probably both.

( Oops! I forgot to reply! I did have fun toward the end, but I was mostly bored the rest of the time. Thanks for asking, guys ^^! )
Nine's singal eye fluttered open and she sat up abruptly, trying to figure out where she was. " A cell ," she whispered, horriried and rubbing her side wound, bandages still intact. It was dark. The smell of mold hung heavily in the dead air. The teen blinked, scared stiff. The scientists must've . . . No. There was not a trace of their're mechanicle and chemical scent anywhere, or the plus soldiers' as a matter of fact and scientists didn't change your bandages as they had all been replaced by fresh, clean ones. So whom was up to this? The shifter stood, but was stopped by a short chain around her scarred throat. Nine sat back down, her furry tail wagging nervously and playing with the bullet around her neck. This wasn't right. The girl had a very bad feeling coming over her.

Five began to stir feeling grogy. Slowly she she got up. "Five?" She said. She tried to walk over to him, but realized the chains keep her about four feet away from him. This frustrated her greatly. She felt tears of anger forming but she held back. Six heard a voice, booming and mocking. She whipped around, hearing the whip of her chains and felt pain from the quick movement. "What the hell are we doing here!" The cat girl growled gripping the bars of the cage. Her red eyes seemed to glow with fury.

Felm woke up to find himself... outside. He had snuck off to get away from the noise of the house... that and he didn't know how to be usefull to anyone... Nine got along just fine, thanks to the help of the others. Sand... she just thinks he's weird "Can't belevie she caute me eating that can. Stupid!" he muttered aloud. He got up walked over to the house and opened the door... "Where is everyone!?!" He asked seeing there was no one in the main room, which was odd sence the main room should be packed! Claude should be lounging around now having recovered, Ern should be tied to him like a ballon. Sand should be with her parents (or what happened to them, did they come back?) Those other friends of nine should be floating around too... so were was everyone?... Felm looked around but found no one not even that Rose character. "They all left me..." Felm said to himself "I'm so useless that they just... left me... with out a... word... they could... could at least... said good bye..." Felm slumped to the floor trying to hold back sobs of abandonment... when he noticed a gu.n on the carpet. He crawled over feeling too emotionally drained to walk over, and picked it up. Felm examined the g.un up and down. The number nine was eched into it... "She left her gun?" Felm question the air. But for the little time he' had known her she'd never leave her gun! Felm stood up saying "They've been taken!" Crashes came from the windows as soliders crashed threw them! (I was thinking the scientists would want their expirements back. So the Scientists and Hunters or what ever you call them can have a battle over them, and during the choas we could escape)
Five reached for Sixs' hand but they were too far apart, this was worse then not being able to see her!... Well not worst at least he was still with her, could still talk to her. But to be teased like this too not beable to hold her... it was crushing. Five turned to the Africain and yelled "Let us go!" The African laughed again and said "Maybe he'll let you go. When he's done with you, but that could take years. Haha." Five:"What does he want with us?" Africain:"He wants you agility, your strength, your sight, he wants your everything, your dna." It made sence to Five now, they wanted their dna as weapons, or products to give to other ppl. Five looked at Six fear in his eyes.

Six returned his terrified glance. Then glared back at guard. "Let us grow you sadistic bast" Suddenly shocks went through the chain around her neck. She let out a gasp of pain and backed away from the door. "No need for rage little kitty." The guard said with a rumbling laugh. Six looked at five helplessly reaching for him, and then placing her hand on her heart. Looking down and then looking back at him. Her tail fell limp and her ears were laid back...WWhat kind of cruel joke was this!

Five jumped at the cage bars when Six was shocked! "You baster-" Five was then shocked he fell to the ground exsausted. "No need to do that just behaive and no one will get hurt. Fact maybe they'll even make the chain longer, purhaps take them off even." The africain turned his head to them, his white eyes and teeth glowing in the dark. Five looked at Six and noded muttering "We'll behaive..." Fives' ears went flat and his claws went in. He watched Six and tried to confort her when ever she started to feel traped. "It's going to be all right Six. I'm right here, as long as we're together we'll be okay." he would say soothingy. Five had curled up on the floor as close to Six as he could get, and tryed to get some sleep.

Claude woke up, seeing Erin banging on the glass, "Erin what is going on? He said beginning to stride over, He heard the clang of chains and stopped. "We were captured weren't we." He said anxiously. Claude looked at the chains and froze them, then with a snap of his tail his broke them as well.

Nine just sat . . . and sat . . . and sat. Scr.eams and yells of rage just barely reached her ear's, but the words were lost in the echoes they produced. The expieriment shifted her posistion, impatient. Something had to happen sometime. " Bang . . . ! Bang . . .! . . Bang! " It was as if the side of the walls of the prison was being rammed by some titan of old. " They've come. " ( I'll be gone for the rest of the day! )

"What?" Claude said, his eyes widening as he kneeled down beside her.

Claude's eyes seemed to glow as he took the heart with the utmost of care. He then looked back up at her. "I will protect it with every fiber of my being, you can count on me." The shifter said. With that he stood up and embraced her in a warm hug.
